Really enjoyed the tour! Great walk around town with John who filled us in on history of Charleston. Amazing to see how the Chef’s took 12 peoples ingredient choices and turned them into fabulous dishes for us to enjoy!!!

Just a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our tour guide named John was very friendly, knowledgeable of Charleston history and conveyed that historic knowledge in such an interesting lesson. The chefs were fantastic in both their creative and delicious courses, but also explaining how they decided on what they created as well as describing how all of the food fits together and where it came from. If you are looking for some excellent and different food choices as well as interesting Charleston history that’s not mainstream touristy, this is a great choice.

Guilds (pronounced, Giles) leads a special tour that few else could give considering his upbringing in Charleston and his particular interests in life. I high recommend booking this tour first full day in town as it will help set your understanding of the area and give plenty of insights on which one can lean for the balance of days in town.

My 3 daughters and I all loved this tour! Giles was full of knowledge and stories and kept us interested and moving toward our delicious meal at the end of our walk! The Neal itself was AMAZING! We recommend this trip to everyone!!!

This was a fantastic tour and we all enjoyed it. Our tour guide John was amazing and very knowledgeable. Our chefs Kyle and Magoo were awesome and cooked some of the best food I’ve ever had. Very highly recommend this tour and I would love to do it again in the future.

Each participant picked our own food item at a market and then were pleasantly surprised at the dishes that the chefs prepared for us! While they cooked, our tour guide John took us on an excellent tour of upper King Street area and all the history.

This whole experience was a joy. It's a really smart idea to combine a short walking tour together with a chef-prepared dining experience. You start the day by shopping with the chefs in a local market and then letting them go off to the restaurant to begin to prepare food while you spend an hour with a wonderful tour guide to learn a bit about one of the neighborhoods of Charleston. Then you return to the restaurant to see what small plate offerings the chefs came up with using the ingredients you selected.The food was all great and creatively prepared. We especially enjoyed the conversation with the chefs who shared their thought process about each of the many courses they came up with.
