Welcome to Key Largo

The Florida Keys island chain begins just off the tip of the Florida peninsula about 70 miles south of downtown Miami. The first island is Key Largo, the longest and largest of the Keys at just over 15 miles in length and 12 square miles of land area. As the site of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Key Largo is a hub of snorkeling and scuba diving in the Keys. There is a wide variety of options for snorkeling or dive trips, and plenty of learning opportunities for first-timers. Key Largo also offers great fishing both offshore and in the Keys Backcountry waters west of the island. Ecotours to mangrove islands, sunset cruises, and sailing trips are examples of other top Key Largo attractions.
