Combine 2 epic activities for 1 remarkable day of adventure! After an approx. 20 minute scenic flight to Knik Glacier you will spend the day paddleboarding and exploring blue glacier pools.
This is an awe-inspiring and unique experience that allows you to connect with nature’s pristine beauty in a truly remarkable way. Leave the crowds behind and make memories in Alaska's backcountry!
Adventure Highlights Include:
-A 40-50 minute RT helicopter ride experiencing breathtaking birds-eye views of glaciers, the braided Knik River and the Chugach Mountains by air.
-Paddling crystal clear glacial pools on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP).
-Exploring the deep crevasses, towering ice walls, and stunning blue ice formations making the Knik one of the most captivating glaciers in all of Alaska.

What To Expect
Come paddle crystal- clear glacial pools and glacier-fed streams while taking in the breathtaking vistas of the surrounding mountains of the Chugach Range.
On arrival to the office you will be weighed and receive a safety briefing. Then your day starts out with a helicopter flight past snow-capped mountain peaks, over braided rivers, and through glacier valleys. Fly over mighty Knik Glacier one of the largest glaciers left in Southcentral Alaska at 26 miles in length and 6 miles across at its toe.
Once the pilot has picked a perfect glacial pool for your comfort and adventure level and landed, your glacier paddling experience begins! You will be outfitted by adventure guides with all necessary equipment, and receive instruction on water safety and SUP paddling, then have plenty of time to explore the beautiful pools atop the glacier.
In addition to paddling, you’ll also have the opportunity to explore the deep crevasses, towering ice walls, and stunning blue ice formations on foot. Here, you’ll see why Knik Glacier is one of the most captivating in all of Alaska.

- Guests must be proficient swimmers and physically fit.
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- CHECK IN TIME is 45 minutes prior to departure time. If you arrive late your excursion may be shortened, cancelled or rescheduled.
- Weight limit is 300 pounds per seat. R44 max weight is 650 pounds. R66 max weight is 900 pounds.
- Paddleboard max weight is 250 pounds. Guests over 250 pounds can request a packraft.
- Service animals are allowed on a case by case basis. Call to inquire.
- This adventure is for ages 10+
- Accuratly reporting weight is essential for proper weight and balance of the helicopter. Large discrepancies in reported weights may result in additional fees.
- Solo Travelers: Please note that we may reach out to reschedule your time if a 2 person minimum is not met.
- WEIGHT SURCHARGES: Groups of 2 over 500lbs, groups of 3 over 650lbs and groups of 4 over 900lbs will be charged a weight surcharge. You can call 907-351-6736 to pay the additional weight surcharge within 48 hours of making the reservation. If weight surcharge not paid, we cannot guarantee extra aircraft will be available and flight may be rescheduled or canceled without a refund.
