Skagway Float Tours provided a great experience. The office staff was very friendly and flexible. Although the pick up spot was at the pier, we needed to meet at their office because we had another excursion right before this one that met right down the street. They were very accommodating and saved us a 15 minute walk. We had an added surprise in that the remainder of those booked didn’t show up, so we had a private excursion.Our guide, Danny, was very informative as he was born and raised in Skagway. He provided tons of information about Skagway with a unique personal touch seeing that his family has been in Skagway for generations.The process consisted of a 30 minute drive to the site. From there, you get your water boots and life preserver. Then some quick safety instructions before boarding the raft. Danny was a very skillful navigator. He pointed out various wildlife sightings, including a bald eagle. The raft ride down the river was about 40 minutes before the end point. At the end, turn in the gear, grab a snack and water, hang out for a while, and then head back. Danny was again very flexible and offered to drop us off wherever we wanted that best aligned with our plans.This was one of the best excisions we did while in Alaska. Highly recommend the experience and this company! Thanks for a great time, Danny!Special notes: Guests don’t row; This is not white water rafting; The water is mostly calm; While you need to hold on, there is plenty of opportunities to take pictures.

Thanks to Fallon and Tavel, the two very experienced guides, me and my mom had a best day ever! It is so cool to have 3 hours on the glacier and do whatever you want. The guides know the best spot to explore. The tour itself is pricey but it definitely worth it!

What a great experience. We had perfect weather and the best guide. Rachel was super informative and what a boss handling the raft. Staff were helpful and easygoing and made the process of meeting up from our cruise ship simple.. The beauty of the river and surrounding mountains made this excursion a highlight of our cruise to Alaska . Anyone looking for an alternative to the train trip in Skagway should consider this trip. Being up close to the landscape makes you appreciate the wildness of Alaska. Thanks to Rachel and crew for making our Alaskan experience magical!

I had a wonderful time experiencing the Mendenhall glacier from a raft. This is not the kind of activity I would usually do and it was so exciting to be on this rafting trip and experience the great weather and beautiful scenery. Jackson, our tour guide, was so warm and confident. He had the best sense of humor and kept the whole group entertained throughout our outing. This rafting trip was the highlight of my trip to Alaska so far. We saw eagles and a seal and the scenery was breathtaking-taking. Thank you Jackson for a splendid day on the river.

We had an amazing experience our guides, Sarah, Phillip and Caden were amazing. This is a first rate operation. The lodge is super nice. The rest of the staff was informative and accommodating. Definitely one of the top five experiences of my life.

Chugach Adventures saved our day! We were on the train, about 3/4 of the way, when the train lurched, slammed on the brakes and came to a stop. Turned out the track had washed away and derailed the 1st engine on the train ): The train personnel tried to tell us they could not do anything, that we couldn't leave the train (literally could see the highway not 20 yards from us), that they would be backing the train up with the one engine left back to Anchorage and it would take 3 hours. Everyone was upset - one of the other passengers called Chugach Adventures, explained what had happened and asked if they could work something out with the railroad. About a 1/2 hour later, they had it worked out. The train backed up to a spot where Chugach Adventures could pick us up in a sprinter van and off we went.. They really went above and beyond for us. Although our trip to the Conservation Center was quick we did still see it, had a nice lunch and was still able to do a raft trip although not the glacier one since the train was needed for that. We were all just so happy we were not stuck on a train! So grateful they were accommodating and helpful. They even drove everyone back to their hotels afterward in Anchorage! Special shoutout to Olivia who was our guide/tour leader and had so much enthusiasm and good cheer!

This tour is the perfect "goldilocks" of multiple adventures! The train ride is perfect - I think I'd get bored during a full day on the train. Amazing views, and informative commentary. After disembarking the train, the guided experience at the wildlife center was one of my favorite things we did (especially because we didn't see ANY other 4 legged wildlife in 565 miles driving to Seward and Talkeetna). The rafting experience was SO cool, getting to go up close to the glacier and icebergs. The sack lunch was seriously so good! I remember seeing that in another review and it is true! Last but certainly not least, our guide, Caroline, was fantastic! She got our whole group talking and joking and interacting, which made the whole experience way more fun. 10/10 Caroline! She did a great job, and clearly communicated safety info before rafting.

Amazing guides, great experience, perfect for people who want to do something different than everyone else, if you wanna get off the tourist trail a little and NOT have a burn and churn experience like most other rafting outfitters. The trip is perfect for a couple of small families with adventrous kids, 2 families of 4 and a couple other family friends and you will be essentially booking a private trip with some of the most experienced guides ive met. These guides really know about the area on a level most other guides do not. Great value for the price!

We boarded our boat to go explore the George Inlet. Full water resistant attire provided. What an fun, exhilarating time with Wilderness Zodiac Quest to see Alaska . On our trip we saw seals & a bald eagle. The reindeer sausage & cheese snack with local beer & soda was very nice at the end of our tour ~ Our tour guide Emily was amazing & full of interesting facts.

This experience was phenomenal. Our driver and rower did such a wonderful job. We love supporting a local family company and they did not disappoint! Highly recommended!

Michael was excellent. He gave a great overview of the town, and got us geared up. We enjoyed his anecdotes as we drove to the drop off point. Steven was a fabulous guide. The sights were incredible, and he was very knowledgeable.
