Amazing Tour and Spectacular Tour Guides
We were treated to the one-two punch of Katt and Grace, and they made our wildlife-viewing tour unforgettable. We saw two mama bears with their cubs, lots of eagles, and enough spectacular Alaska scenery to make my camera battery nervous.Katt was genuinely excited and incredibly knowledgeable about bears and their behavior. She was also serious about keeping both our group and the wildlife safe. When we watched another tour company take its guests down near the water where the bears were fishing, I really appreciated her keeping us safe and the bears at peace.Our lunch spot was especially memorable. It gave us an amazing opportunity to really watch the eagles, and the setting felt peaceful, special, and truly majestic. Katt and Grace were the perfect team: enthusiastic, knowledgeable, safety-conscious, and fun to spend the day with.Bears, cubs, eagles, gorgeous scenery, and guides who knew what they were doing. What more could we ask for? We highly recommend this tour!

Excellent Tour with Tom Ganner
After our airplane trip over the glaciers was cancelled at the last minute, I looked for alternatives tours to do while our ship was in Haines. I came along Tom's offering, read the reviews, and was happy that he wasn't booked the next day.Tom met us at the dock in his Subaru, which was a little cramped for 5 people (including Tom), but we managed. Tom took us to a number of excellent spots that we would not have gotten to if we had done a boat tour. Tom is very knowledgeable about the history of Haines and has an indepth knowledge of the best places to go near Haines to see wildlife and beautiful scenery.During our trip we saw bears,salmon, bald eagles, and some unusual migrating birds called Surf Scoters. Tom took us to some beautiful places and provided us with some excellents pointers on how to take beautiful scenery pictures. The places he took us to were fabulous.Overall, a fantastic tour and education. Well worth the money. I would highly recommend spending a morning or afternoon with Tom if you visit Haines.

Great way to immerse yourself in nature
So glad we bailed on Skagway and ventured to Haines for this excursion! We wanted something less kitschy and more nature-based, and this excursion was perfect for our family. Don't be fooled by the name - it's not whitewater rafting, and you don't have to do any work other than hold on. The guide oars for you and you enjoy the beautiful scenery, plus some narration. We appreciated the bonus boat ride on the ferry to and from Haines - what a lovely view along the way. Our guides picked us up from the Haines fast ferry dock and drove us to the raft put in. Guides provided rubber boots and life jackets. After a safety demonstration, we were on our way for an 8-mile float down the river. We had an unusually sunny day, which was not great for eagle spotting - but the views were spectacular and we learned so much from our guide Sean! An amazing lunch was available right after we got out of the river, and then they shuttled us right back to the fast ferry. This was well-organized and we had a blast seeing the Chilkat River like this. Thank you to our guide Sean and our leader Danny!

A wonderful perfect day in Haines.
We had a wonderful sunny river rafting trip on the Chilkat River and saw many eagles. Captain Rich was skillful getting us safely down the river and was very knowledgeable about all the wildlife and plant species we were seeing. Thank you to Andy for driving and setting up a welcoming riverside snack.

Beautiful raft ride down the river. The staff was all wonderful. Our river guide, Steve, did a great job keeping us moving along the river pointing out eagles and nests along the way . We were picked up at the end by bus and provided a great lunch from a local cafe to enjoy.

It was a brilliant combination of beautiful scenery, wildlife, adventure and plenty of time to simply relax and enjoy the incredible Alaskan surroundings.Our guide, Ava, was excellent. She was friendly, fun and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing so much about the local area and wildlife throughout the experience. Her expert knowledge really added to the tour without ever making it feel overly structured or rushed.We had some great wildlife sightings, beautiful views and plenty of opportunities to stop and really take everything in. The included lunch was also a lovely addition and made the whole experience feel very complete.A really enjoyable and memorable way to experience Alaska, especially if you want something that combines wildlife and adventure with a more relaxed pace.Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
