Firstly, take a pen with you and four dollars. The parking requires you to fill out an envelope with your name and the vehicle information. It also requires either your credit card information (written on the envelope, there is not a machine on site) or four dollars cash. If you don’t have a pen on hand you will need to walk to the office (across the street) and go back to the parking lot. It could make you late for the bus.Do be on time, if they tell you to be there 30 minutes before they leave it is because they start giving you information as soon as you arrive. Don’t miss this information because some did and they were the ones asking questions that had already been answered. Such as bathroom breaks and where the stops are. Also this is the time to buy your t-shirts from them because the office is closed by the time you return. The office has clean bathrooms and it is best to use them before leaving on the bus. Why? The first potty stop is about two hours into the trip and it is an outhouse situation. (Our driver did let us stop for groceries before we set out, take advantage of this if you must, but assume there won’t be anything for you to buy along the way.)The driver talked most of the way to the first stop about the roads we were on, including the rules of the road, recent happenings and pointed out various plants and animals along the way. By the first stop everyone was finally waking up.Our driver was from Alaska so had a lot of knowledge to share. We felt safe in his care which is important since it is 200 miles of mainly rock/dirt roads and if something occurs he would be the one in charge. It was hunting season so there were more travelers on the road than normal.I really wanted to see the pipeline and believe me you see a lot of it! The best opportunity for photos is after you cross the Yukon River and stop for lunch. You can walk down to the river and take excellent photos of the famous bridge as well. Our guide gave us information regarding the pipeline and when asked, he told us real stories about the ice road truckers. There are flushable toilets at the Yukon River Camp. (Again, take all the your food for the day as you don’t know what the store will have available.) They do have some souvenirs available with the Yukon River logo. This is the only store on your tour. Our driver had a few more surprise stops for us so we were always seeing something you would only see in Alaska. Lots of photo opportunities. Seeing the sign for the Arctic Circle was quite amazing. It isn’t something everyone gets a chance to witness. The drive back was a little faster with less stops but still entertaining with seeing the animals and scenery. One thing the driver mentioned is that there are times they can’t make it back due to weather or accidents so if you are taking medicine such as insulin I would take it with you. He told us over the years he has had to spend an extra day at the camp or Coldfoot due to snow or road conditions, so don’t plan this trip on your last day in Alaska or you could miss your flight home. Remember, this is a trucker highway and some parts of the road are only one lane so if an accident occurs it can close the road. Also, expect the tour to last a little longer than scheduled. Our trip did because we were all having such a good time. (We do plan on taking the Arctic Circle Air Adventure with Northern Alaska Tour Company the next time we visit Alaska. Great customer service and attention to detail!) They deserve more than five stars! One more Covid related thing: Everyone was very good about keeping their masks on while on the bus.Tips: Stay on schedule because you don’t want to be the one they are waiting on. Don’t take children, they will be bored. Take enough food for a day. (There is room on the bus for lunch type coolers.) Tip the driver well!!! He has been escorting you around for about 16 hours! Our bus had seven or eight rows of two seats on each side (comfortable seating with seat belts which I did use) and a potty in the back which was for emergency use only.

Experiencing the vastness and remoteness of Interior Alaska was unlike anything we have ever done. VERY early morning departure was well worth it (6:30). Our driver/guide was extremely knowledgeable, outgoing, funny, in touch with the needs of the participants. Hard to pick one highlight; stops included the ghost town of Joy, the Yukon River Trading Camp (only "store" between Fairbanks and Arctic Circle), Finger Rock Viewing area, actually walking across the tundra to pick blueberries, (walking on the tundra is NOT easy!), Viewing the Alaska pipeline up close and getting detailed info, and finally the Arctic Circle itself. (Yes, the photo op sign is a little hokey, and Rob added to it with his hilarious performance). All very memorable. We are soooo glad we went, even though it was an extremely long day spent with hours on the bus. I personally even enjoyed the col videos on the drop down screens which included info about the Natives, one about the pipeline construction (incredible)!, and so on. We highly recommend with no reservations. Thanks, Rob!

My husband and I went into the arctic circle drive, our guide was very knowledgable of the area, he was an amazing an guide and a safe driver. We enjoyed the drive, it's a long long drive but definitely includes beautiful landscapes, we where there on fall season so all the colors where amazing, we learn about the gold extraction on Fairbanks and we also got to see the Alaska pipe line and learn more about it, and of course we made it to the arctic circle, in our case we also booked the Aurora tour on the way back, which was our main goal on this journey, we got to see the Aurora with our Aurora guide Dallas who was an amazing host, and he also helped us with our cellphones to get good shots of the phenomenon ! I really recommend the trip, if you are ok being sitting down for several hours but if not at least do the Aurora it's totally worth it!

I was not sure I was going to like being on a bus for 16 hours, especially during the Corona Times, but this was a amazing experience and our guide John was awesome! I couldn't believe how much there was to see along the way, and the fall colors of the tundra were a big surprise! All the reds, oranges, gold, and even pink! We saw rainbows, picked wild berries, and got to touch the permafrost! Yeah, it's a long way to go, but you'll probably never get there any other way. I would definitely NOT drive a rental car up there - if you're considering it, just don't! Loved the trip and would recommend to anyone. For the Covid-careful: Masks were optional when we did this tour at the end of August. Some folks wore them, some did not.

Matt was an excellent tour guide, full of info . He presented it thru the day , answering and acknowledging our questions when he could, but admitted when he wasn’t sure. We found the movies informational, and the fact that they were spread out during the day was entertaining. We loved digging down to permafrost, as well as our crossing the artic circle ceremony. The mud pie was delicious!!

We enjoyed the entire trip. Rob was our driver and tour guide. He did a fantastic job of both. He showed us lots of extras which made the tour much better. The only draw back was that we were in a van along with 5 others and we set in the back for the entire trip.
