Well worth the money. Amazing views and the crew were very knowledgeable and helpful. It didn’t take long at all to spot some whales and sea lions. They also guarantee that you’ll see a whale or they refund your trip. Highly recommend to anyone making the trip to Juneau!

The view was unmatched and the photos of the whales turned out soo good! It was very nice weather as well and the crew was so kind! Very safe and fun!

Very enjoyable tour and for early season we saw a lot of humpback whales. Captain Lee, Savannah, and Melanie did a great job of showing us the way around the beautiful waters off of Auke Bay. Highly recommend

In town on a short visit to AK I read the reviews and chose this option for a treasured whale watch experience. I arrived by city bus 4 from Valley Transit as my hotel was near the airport and I was not a cruise ship passenger. Greeted by a really friendly, enthusiastic group I learned this trip was pretty much the first of the season.Captain Lee a lovely genuine fellow who chatted all things travel with me before departure, Savannah our very knowledgeable naturalist shared her joy and passion of Whales. We headed out and quickly sped to join the flotilla of craft patiently waiting for Humpbacks to appear which they did often, we moved around to different locations and watched for the signs of whales in adjacent waters.A really great experience under the crews care and we definitely saw the trademark breaching and tale appearing rolling over many times.My only slight negative perhaps the layout of these particular boats did not allow easy repeated access to the open deck at the back for photographs. Safety of course is a concern when moving around but other craft around appeared to have easier higher access. Nevertheless the crew were marvellous and the attention to detail great. Helped my beer at the nearby Forbidden Peak brewery go down a treat.5 stars for a great team who shared this amazing experience

This is an excellent tour in Alaska! Our family wanted a smaller group than the Princess Cruise options, and this tour and the guides were perfect!

The whale watching was very fun. I wish we had hiked to the glacier instead of just the obervation area. Our bus driver implied we didn't have time. (We did!) The salmon bake was delicious and the location by the waterfall couldn't be beat.

Great tour! I went with my 2 kids- 12 and 16- they loved it! It’s a little chilly in the mine so be prepared!

This tour was super awesome! It was a great way to see Juno on our own… Highly recommend. Somehow the Tour knows where you are on the route and walks you through the entire town.

I booked this experience while we were going to be in Juneau for a cruise. The bus picked our group up and the driver was very pleasant and informative. It was a short drive to the mine and he shared local history with us on the way. The tour of the mine was very informative and our group wasn’t large so everyone could see and hear the information the guide was giving us. After the tour there was a Q & A session and then we went to pan for gold. There were several employees there to help if we needed it and everyone found a few flakes that were put in a small glass vial to take with them. My husband and I really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it.

I am a avid fisherman and had always fished for salmon on a boat in Ketchikan. I was unable to book a boat so I decided to try Chum Fun Charters and it was the right decision. Derrick was the guide and what a great guy he was. He picked us up in downtown Juneau and we fished at the fish hatchery. The coho run was slow due to the hatchery being closed in 2020 but he put us on fish that day. There were 6 on the tour and 3 fish were caught but you could see many cohos in the water. He was funny, informative, and a real pleasure to fish with. I was the last person to be dropped off and he insisted on driving me back to my ship. I didn't catch a coho but I plan to fish with Derrick again in May 2024 for kings!

Really interesting and a great way to explore Juneau and learn some of the history at your own place - and see a few things you probably wouldn’t otherwise. It’s important you follow the instructions when you first buy the tour to download the app and get the right tour ready and saved to your phone, don’t leave it until you want to start the tour. It was easy to do and the instructions were clear - I didn’t have any issues. The tour is well put together and the tech is clever, the narrator gives you directions and then waits until you reach the next waypoint before continuing the story - so you never get behind. Very cost effective for a decent tour

Enjoyed fished for salmon. Was a small group - just 5 of us. We each caught at least one salmon. Was a lot of fun and not far from the ship.

Had an amazing time with William as our tour guide. We started early (they moved our tour from 2pm to 10am and we were thrilled about it) and William drove us to the starting point about 10-15 min away. He set up our bikes. It was just 2 of us on the tour and it felt so personal. William was a great guide, he gave us lots of information about the area, we asked him silly questions he was happy to answer, and took us on a breaktaking bike tour. We had perfect weather for this tour, sunny and 50s. We made a few stops to take pictures and William was fine with us taking our time at the stops to take in the incredible views of Mendenhall glacier and many of the other peaks and islands around the Juneau area.. We hiked through a rainforest and stopped on the beach to have some king salmon dip with crackers as we took in the views. I explored the beach a bit as they waited for me to finish. We walked back to our bikes, and bikes back and took a few more stops. The ride was about 10 miles round trip but it felt like 2-3miles it was so fast and just wow. Would absolutely do it again. William you were a joy. Rosie and I absolutely loved having you. Thanks for a great memorable day in Juneau
