We had a wonderful small tour of Juneau. Our driver (David) was a very nice man with lots to share. I particularly enjoyed that he didn’t just rattle off facts. He was thoughtful in his delivery and answered all our many questions. Our stops were well thought out and very beautiful in all the ways. We saw a lot and had a great experience. What we loved about this tour was the knowledge of our guide and the unique places we visited. In some cases we had not even conceived of the beauty that was available and moments that touched us. Great communication and lovely to have just three of us on this tour. Very worth it to see some parts of Juneau through the eyes of a local. Highly recommend!

We loved this boat trip. From check-in to walking off the boat at the end of the trip the deck crew was amazing. We saw so much wildlife and glaciers up close. The captain took us to some amazing places to see wildlife and took great care in trying to keep the boat from rocking too much for those that were having some sea sickness. Shout out to Ben who walked around on the decks and helped those that were truly looking green. He was wonderful! Loved the glacier ice brought on board that we could hold and take pictures with. The deli lunch was good( a little less turkey on the sandwiches would be nice, how often do you hear that?). The warm brownie was a nice touch. A note to the captain, who was great, but a little less narration would be good. Overall a great day in Kenai Fjords National Park. Highly recommend.

A unique and engaging site-specific experience
This unique tour was a site-specific experience at its best! This was my second visit to Juneau, but I had no previous idea of the Treadwell Mine history and had no idea what to expect. I was so impressed! The history of the place was fascinating and full of archaeological remnants that were brought to life through the dynamic tour guide and just the right balance of augmented reality overlays on ipads which really helped provide context and a deeper understanding of the place. The tour itself takes place on an easily walkable trail in a beautiful park next to the water and provided some amazing vistas. I learned a lot and would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about Juneau's rich history.

Susie appreciated the pace of the hike allowing for a comfortable rate going up and DOWN on the significant rock scramble areas. I was highly recommended this trip by Kelsey, who also led me on two amazing bear experiences with ABAK.Our pilot Robert and rafting guide Kaylee were amazing. The flight to the glacier was comfortable and although I am a novice kayaker I felt confident the entire time with some brief instruction. The equipment issued was great and the experience was otherworldly. We got to explore some portions of the glacier I have not been lucky enough to see in my life.I would strongly recommend this trip for able bodied and adventurous folks looking to take their Alaska experience to the next level.

Four of us were scheduled to take the Pack Creek bear viewing float plane, but we got held up because of fog. Above and Beyond offered us to go to Watercreek Falls instead. We all jumped at the chance and it was worth every minute. We spent a few hours sitting on the creek side near the bears. Our guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable and we saw several bears pulling salmon from the creek every few minutes. It was a once in a lifetime experience!

Great Alaskan Glacier Experience
This excursion was recommended to us by friends who had completed the same trip. We don't normally book such a higher priced excursion but it was worth the entire trip and given the need for equipment and seaplane access, I understand the price. The total time of the excursion was 5 hours and it allows for plenty of time to enjoy the adventure. We were greated at the port with a driver (Joe) providing a summary of Juneau as we drove to pick up gear. They are very organized as they take size and weight information at the pier and your gear is layed out for you upon arrival at their store. With rain gear, snacks and water in packs, we departed for a short trip to the sea plane lake at the airport. We were greated by Bo, our pilot who loaded our packs and the six of us climbed in for a great flight to the glacier lack. Bo is an exceptional pilot with a very comfortable flight and great views. We were met by our guide, Keaton, who guided us to our inflated kayaks, provided some simple tips and we were off to paddle to the foot of Norris glacier. We had ample time to explore, climb, and view the glacier ice and landscape with Keaton providing lots of insight. After a brief descent and kayak back to the pier, we were once again greated by Bo (pilot) and had a great flight back as the sun set with incredible views. We returned to change out of our gear and enjoyed a quick ride back to the pier where you could be dropped in downtown Juneau if you wished to spend some extra time. The small group excursion in the plane and on the glacier were an excellent escape from cruise ship crowds.
