The tour company came on time to pick us up from the cruise terminal. The ride to Mendenhall Glacier Park was scenic and wonderful. Upon arriving at the tour location, we were given the option to switch into raincoats and boots provided by the tour company. Most chose to use the tour company's equipment. We were then given life jackets for the canoe ride on Mendenhall Glacier Lake. There were some 12 riders. We canoed across the lake. Beautiful, breathtaking views. The 2 guides were EXCELLENT! Made the canoe ride fun! The part that was a bit disappointing was not being able to get near the glacier to touch it. Based on the name of the tour, I was thinking we would get very close to the glacier. Once you arrive at the glacier area, you hike up and go to the backside. You are across from the glacier but cannot touch or walk on it. The cost of the tour does not match what you get as it relates to the Glacier. After the hike and some time near the glacier, we got back in the canoe and canoed our way to Nuggets Fall. We were right at the fall and that was one AMAZING view! I would recommend the tour company; however, I would ask that the right expectations about the glacier viewing be set. The adventure name is a bit misleading

Our Mendenhall Glacier Ice Adventure Tour was an exceptional experience!! The beauty of the lake, waterfalls, the sun coming up over the lake as we made our way across - all of it - reminded us of all the beauty in this world. Our guides Elishen and Joe were definitely a highlight of our tour as well! From the warm welcome at the van to the careful instruction and fun and educational approach to the day, you could tell how much they enjoyed what they were doing. Joy, fun, enthusiasm, love of nature, and the utmost professionalism would be the words to describe Joe and Elishen! We highly recommend Liquid Alaska Tours!!!

We were on a one day port visit with no plans other than walk around a bit. This was perfect for giving us the history and background of the things we were seeing. It started raining heavily so we only did half of the downtown tour. We would have loved doing the rest of the downtown plus the Mt. Robert’s and Perseverance Trail had there been more time and better weather. My only concern is the starting point was slightly confusing but we figured it out by tapping on the location markers. A side benefit was going into the State Capitol and picking up a self guided tour of that. Something this tour recommended.

Was an amazing hike and the highlight of our visit to Alaska our guides were amazing and recommend to anyone who is visiting Juneau

Amelia was our guide and set the tone for a fun and informative hike. The scenery of course was amazing. Susie appreciated the pace of the hike allowing for a comfortable rate going up and DOWN on the significant rock scramble areas. Was a memorable great experience and highly recommend...and don't forget the provided snacks. Thanks also to our new-found friends Tom and Sandeep. We couldn't have picked better random strangers to hike with.

Great trip, guides were excellent.

This was an excellent small group hike along the West Mendenhall Glacier Trail. Our guide, Sky, led us on a 5.5 mile hike with 850 feet of elevation gain. This hike led us to the closest viewing point to the glacier. The majority of the hike was along a moderate and well groomed trail. The last part of the hike involved a scramble up rocky ridge that is probably a terminal moraine. The view from the moraine was fabulous. Overall, I highly recommend this wonderful shore excursion. Sky was an excellent guide who is very knowledgeable about the Mendenthal glacier and the Juneau area. She led us on a very safe and enjoyable hike.

We had a spectacular time paddling Mendenhall Lake with Skye and Forrest! Not only were they excellent competent guides—appropriately focused on our safety—they were also a ton of fun and kept us laughing with interesting stories about the area and the wildlife. ABAK was a professional organization from start to finish! They met our group of 10 promptly and took us back to their office where they had all weather and safety gear set out for us. After we were outfitted, we went to Mendenhall Lake and launched our canoe. We paddled 45 minutes to a secluded beach, very close to the glacier, and were able to enjoy almost an hour there without any other people around. It was a fantastic trip! I could not recommend this excursion more highly!

Jasper, Twain, Heather, and Reina were the kindest and most knowledgeable about the area. We were with a group and they were 18 of us all 57 years of age to 86 years of age. They reviewed safety and gave us a tutorial on group canoeing and hiking. As we were hiking, they explained the plants and rocks and detail. Once we got to our stopping point at the base of the glacier, they fed us lunch. We canoe back with nine of us in each canoe, plus the guides. They were extremely hospitable. I did post a picture of the four of them from ABAK.

My family and I had a wonderful time on this trip, which was one of the listed excursions on our Disney cruise. It was just the right amount of exertion while still feeling like a relaxing day, and the scenery was stunning. Our guide Abby was absolutely fantastic as well. I would definitely do another trip with this company.

From the very beginning, Jill was wonderful to work with. Her professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail made the planning process seamless, and she was instrumental in ensuring every aspect of our program came together perfectly. Our guests who experienced the Rainforest Waterfall Trek absolutely raved about their guide, Lisa. Her knowledge of the area, engaging personality, and genuine passion for Alaska created an unforgettable adventure. Guests returned talking about the breathtaking scenery, beautiful trails, and incredible waterfalls, sharing that it was one of the most memorable experiences of their visit to Juneau. Lisa’s enthusiasm and storytelling truly brought the rainforest to life.I also want to recognize Kevin, who demonstrated outstanding professionalism and flexibility throughout the day. Although changing weather meant his tour ultimately wasn’t needed, he remained on standby without hesitation, ready to step in at a moment’s notice if our helicopter guests needed an alternative experience. His patience, positive attitude, and willingness to adapt gave me tremendous peace of mind during a day when flexibility was everything. Having a partner who is that dependable is invaluable. As a destination management company, having trusted partners makes all the difference, and Alaska Luxury Tours proved to be exactly that. Thank you to Jill, Lisa, Kevin, and the entire team for your outstanding service and commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences. We look forward to working with you again and highly recommend Alaska Luxury Tours to anyone looking to experience the very best of Juneau.

Guide was extremely knowledgeable about Juneau and its people. The only negative was the weather as we did not get a good view from the tram due to the rain.

Damen was a great guide. Excellent stories and very knowledgeable. Beer was top notch. Rain didn’t stop us from a wonderful tour.

I highly recommend this excursion! We had 7 travelers in our group and besides the occasional group passing by on the way up, we had the entire trail and the Glacier viewing area to ourselves. Our guide Heather was super personable, knowledgeable and attentive to the group. The trail itself was pretty easy to navigate, with the exception of a few slick rock spots and the last part of the trail where you have to climb up/down some rocks to view the Glacier. But even then, going slow and being intentional with your hand/foot placements was just fine. Gorgeous view of the Glacier and Nugget Falls. Very appreciative of the generous snacks provided as well. This was our first excursion not booked through the cruise line and we had 0 worries about getting back on time as Hesther made it clear (and showed) they are pros with timing. 10/10!

My experience was AWESOME! i was not expecting it at all, our guides (Elymus and Sophie) were the best! it truly shows how much they love their job and how much care they put into the whole experience! Such an amazing and recommended trip for sure ! If you come to Juneau, Ak this is a MUST DO!! And alsoooo, everything is given to you, so it’s the most complete, easy, fun and enjoyable tour i’ve had so far. (just saying lol) :)

Elisha and Liquid Alaska offered an incredible canoe trip on Mendenhall Lake and Glacier. Elisha, our guide, is great, knowledgeable, funny, and personable! Of course, safety was his number one priority, and it was an incredible experience!Liquid Alaska picked us up at the AJ Dock, per the instructions, and we took a short bus ride to Mendenhall Lake. Liquid Alaska provided water-resistant pants, jacket, gloves, PFD and boots. They also provided a waterproof bag, including a bottle of water and small snacks. After arriving at the Lake and a short safety and instruction demonstration, we boarded our canoe and began the tour. Elisha provided us multiple breaks throughout the tour to recharge and soak up the incredible scenery. We will absolutely return to Juneau in the near future and utilize Liquid Alaska and hopefully experience more of Juneau.
