Juneau Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

What we loved about this tour was the knowledge of our guide and the unique places we visited. In some cases we had not even conceived of the beauty that was available and moments that touched us. Great communication and lovely to have just three of us on this tour. Very worth it to see some parts of Juneau through the eyes of a local. Highly recommend!

The bus driver Kenny was very friendly and talkative. He was both informative and entertaining with his stories about the history of Juneau, mixed with a good dose of jokes and humor. Although it was raining, which made it hard to see all the sights through the bus windows, Kenny still made it an interesting tour.

This tour was great! The entire staff from the bus driver to the captain and whale specialist were very friendly snd knowledgeable. We saw mom and baby whale and others. The Mendenhall Glacier was majestic like a painted mural. We saw bald eagles and Nugget waterfall as well. The temperature weather was a welcome cha ge from the Texas heat.

This was amazing- the guides were extremely enthusiastic and wanted to ensure that we were safe but had a lot of fun. We got to see lots of whales! AMAZING. The trip to Mendenhall Glacier was great. Our bus driver was a lot of fun and taught us many things.

A bit foggy but the driver, Kenny, made it a great experience anyways.

We loved this boat trip. From check-in to walking off the boat at the end of the trip the deck crew was amazing. We saw so much wildlife and glaciers up close. The captain took us to some amazing places to see wildlife and took great care in trying to keep the boat from rocking too much for those that were having some sea sickness. Shout out to Ben who walked around on the decks and helped those that were truly looking green. He was wonderful! Loved the glacier ice brought on board that we could hold and take pictures with. The deli lunch was good( a little less turkey on the sandwiches would be nice, how often do you hear that?). The warm brownie was a nice touch. A note to the captain, who was great, but a little less narration would be good. Overall a great day in Kenai Fjords National Park. Highly recommend.

Even though it was rainy and overcast we were able to see the glacier and when we went out into the fjord we were able to see several whales & their tales!! Krichelle was a great boat captain and Claire and Gwen were so very knowledgeable teaching us so much about whales. Our Bus driver for the day was Scott aka “Papa Bear” had so many interesting stories and facts about Alaska. The trivia game was also fun on the way back to the pier. Just a great time.

M&M glacier tours - great customer service. From the start there was a young man greeting us at the tents - funny and welcoming. Next was the bus driver Archie. Funny told stories pointing out various sites and landmarks.

Fantastic trip, very knowledgeable driver who gives lots of local information and advise. Very happy to answer questions. Trolly bus very convenient mode of transport, warm and comfy for a short ride (about 20 mins to visitor centre). Glacier is a must see trip

We were able to see the air spouting, fins and tails of whales today. The crew was exceptionally nice and accommodating. I felt safe, Captain Dalton was a competent and conscientious helmsman and Tess and Chris were knowledgeable and made us feel welcome 😁 Great experience!

We had an amazing experience on our Brews and Views tour. Leslie was the BEST. She made the tour so fun, and we loved her energy. We brought our 6 month old along and she was so sweet, patient, and accommodating. The tour took us to 3 breweries where we tried flights of their local beers. I do wish we could've maybe selected the beers so it was possible to be closer to what we enjoy, BUT either way we had fun. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Kenton our driver was fantastic and super informative. He spotted wildlife whiling driving that a normal person would never see. His knowledge and presentation made the adventure fun and educational. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone.

AMAZING experience! Once in a lifetime type of experience that we highly recommend. One of the prettiest things I have ever seen. This was probably the highlight of our trip and we would definitely do it again!

Our tour guide, Lesley, made this a memorable tour. She is full of knowledge about Juneau and the local breweries. Pair that with her genuine enthusiasm and lots of fun tasting beers and you have a great experience. We loved this tour!

We had a great time whale watching with Harv & Marv’s! Anika was a wonderful naturalist. She was knowledgeable and did the right amount of talking. Our boat captain was excellent, also. He knew exactly what he was doing! We saw a lot of whales and Anika sent us a nice collection of pictures, just incase we didn’t get any! This was our 4th trip with Harv & Marv!
