Food was wonderful. Service great. The waterfall near by was a must see. The people were friendly and helpful.

Maybe I didn't research enough about this but I thought this was going to be a small group activity where we caught and prepared our own salmon. Turns out it was more like summer camp. Like 700 people in a buffet line. Went really quick though and was absolutely delicious. A little camp fire for roasting marshmallows and a nice little walk to a picturistic water fall. I would do again, just slightly disappointed I didn't get to catch and prepare my own.

We went on August 18th 2026, and our naturalist Autumn was learned, passionate and a consummate professional. She even tried to laugh at my George Costanza (Seinfeld) joke regarding marine biology.

Brett the fishing guide was great and the Salmon bake was a treat with BBQ ribs as an alternate entree.

Judd, our driver, was fantastic as he sharird his perspectives & views of Juneau. Jason, our kayak guide, expertly & safely managed the group on the lake. We saw the glacier up close & learned so much!! Highly recommend this adventure!

Captain Claire and Naturalist Autumn were great for our whale watching adventure. Lots of good information and a few sketchy dad jokes mixed in. They knew where whales were, what they were doing, and relevant information that educated us all. They are passionate about marine life and it shows. 100% recommend!

This was a fantastic walking tour of downtown Juneau. Had some wonderful bites and learned a lot about the city and history. I fully recommend Midgi and her team if you’re looking for a foodie tour in Juneau!

We took a cruise to Juneau, Alaska and booked the Mendenhall Lake kayak and salmon bake excursion. This was the highlight of our trip. The meeting point was conveniently located near the cruise dock, and transportation to the lake was quick and easy.Paddling on Mendenhall Lake was unforgettable. The scenery was so breathtaking that I did not want to return to the ship. I wanted to stay and explore the trails around the lake and glacier.Our small group made the experience feel like a private adventure with friends rather than a crowded tourist activity. Our guide kept us moving at a steady pace so we could cover the surprisingly large area and enjoy stunning views of the waterfall and glacier.After kayaking, the salmon bake was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to end the day. This excursion was worth every penny and is highly recommended.

Easy meetup at the Tram. Great coach driver, very entertaining. We arrived at the Salmon Bake in 15 minutes. Drop off is at the beginning of the serving lines. Great clam chowder to begin with. Plenty of seating. The salad, beans, potatoes and salmon were great! Also they had wonderful BBQ ribs! The ride back to the tram was equal to the the ride earlier. Highly recommended.

Lovely area for Outdoor Eating, while Listening to Music and afterwards Easy Walking to Delightful Waterfall Surrounded by the Beauty of a Rainforest, with an added bonus of a learning about the Alaskan Gold Rush. Great Gift Shop and Fun ride there with their informative and funny drivers!!!

The whale watching was excellent! Our naturalist and captain got us to see quite a bit of whales. Just so beautiful to be out on a sunny day! The salmon back was OK, was disappointed in the salmon. Did not like the very smokey taste. Liked the ribs better! Everything else was good.

Captain Matt and Autumn were the best tour guides! They were knowledgeable, entertaining, and enthusiastic! We were able to see several whales and learned a great deal about the species and the local area. Thank you.

My wife and I did this excursion while in Juneau on our cruise. This was an awesome use of our time! Maizy was our guide, and she did a great job getting us ready for the trip and giving her insight on the glacier and Alaska in general. We got a great view of the glacier then turned around to head back to shore. It rained and we got wet. It was fun. Bring a change of clothes if you're worried about getting wet while on the water. The salmon bake portion of the trip was great as well. Good food and a relaxed atmosphere with live music. You can head back to port with a shuttle at your own leisure. Overall great time in Juneau!

We lost count of how many Orcas and Humpback Whales we saw! The boat is comfortable and easily accessible! Hannah’s commentary was informative and entertaining.

That you need a coat! Definitely a little chilly, the food was good but not amazing. I would do it again for sure.

Great dinner but the driver did not show up to pick us up at the designated time. He had to go with a bus a little bit later.
