Make sure that you can get a tour of the 2nd floor if the house before you book.

Excellent experience would recommend. Tour guide Joe was funny and knowIedgable. I took my 15 year old and she got a lot out of it as well. Breathtaking views of the Potomac. I will be back.

A great experience of Mount Vernon. , but our trip was cut short. As of Nov 1, the George Washington house closed at 4:00. We were there nov 3…. We had less than 45 min to go they the house and property! We were asked to leave the property at 5:00pm ( an hour earlier than our excursion). The exhibit hall was great but rushed. All in all, we got to see e everything, but did feel a bit rushed. Be sure to ck your times there. An hour can make a difference. I had a quick trip to the gift shop before leaving…we were supposed to have time to have lunch/snack there…no time for either. Felt rushed!! It it was a beautiful tour I’ll never forget thank you!!
