Overview

From the Pier to Paradise. You’ll sail by the beautiful shorelines of St. Pete, pass under the stunning Sunshine Skyway bridge and perhaps see a dolphin or two! This is the only charter offering service from downtown St. Petersburg traveling to Egmont Key and passing under the Sunshine Skyway.

You will have 2 hours on Egmont Key to explore the pristine beaches, historic lighthouse, ruins of Ft. Dade, and the amazing wildlife before your return trip. Please note you will have to step into shallow water when going on the island.

Unlike all other ferry services to Egmont Key, The Pelican St Pete will stay with you on the island - bathrooms and a bit of shade if needed, available the entire time.

Spectacular! This experience was awesome for ALL ages. We had a group of 12 ranging in ages from 3 to 70. Everyone had a blast. The boat was spacious and clean. The captain let the little ones drive the boat. So nice to have clean handy restrooms on board. Everyone who worked the boat was kind and helpful. Definitely bring the sunscreen. It was nice to have the table inside to set up our food in the way back. I plan on going again.

The crew and the boat were top rate. Very informative and accommodating. The only slightly disappointing aspect was the amount of people on Egmont key, which the tour has no control over.

The crew of the Pelican rocks!! They were very attentive and informative. Eggmont Key was a nice, peaceful area to explore. A little rough for snorkeling, but a crew member gave us some tips for our next trip. Will go out with the Pelican crew again

The trip was a great little adventure! We were running a little late and the crew reached out to check in on us. They were very friendly and helpful with directing us to the boat. The boat ride itself was scenic and fun as well. We enjoyed exploring the island! There was a lot of wildlife to see and a beach to check out. We also got to see dolphins on the way back! Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone looking for an adventure.

Loved it! Great value. Saw a gopher tortoise, manatee, osprey eating sushi and dolphins swimming in our wake! Great views of the area. Lovely beach. Crew was great. Highly recommend!!

What an amazing choice in something to do! Although our tour was scheduled for Saturday morning e did the Sunday 2pm tour. Due to terrible traffic getting into St. Pete we would have been late. However we called and as simple as that we were offered the 2pm Sunday tour and what a blast we had. Everything was perfect. From the captain to the crew to the passengers. The island was gorgeous and the beach was superb. This is a must do! And the Bob Marley music priceless! Check them out next time you’re in the area!!!!

My husband & I took a nice boat ride on The Pelican out to Egmont Key where we explored the island, enjoyed the wildlife, shared a snack and then sailed back. The crew on the boat were friendly and welcoming and genuinely concerned about each of us enjoying our experience. Had my husband not broken his arm prior to our trip, we could have also enjoyed snorkeling (maybe next time)! It was the perfect way to spend a few hours first thing on a Saturday. On our way back to the pier, we got to experience the dolphins jumping in the wake of the boat, which really made the tour memorable! When we got back to the pier there was a sidewalk market happening which we strolled through. All-in-all, a great experience!

We finished our stay in St.Pete with this boat trip and it was PERFECT! We loved Egmont key - it ist beautiful! and the boat trip was great fun. We saw a dolphin following the boat. We would do this trip again if we were anywhere near Florida.
