I've gone to the Phoenix zoo my whole life and now get to take my own kids. It was beautiful and a great time

Kiddo loved it all. Very positive even though some animals were not out. Rhino, monkeys, birds, giraffes, big snake, and lots of friendly families, all out on a beautiful day.

The zoo layout is great. The large areas for the animals to move about were impressive. The lakes were beautiful & plenty of seats to admire the surroundings.

Revisit after 15 plus years with new family members. Exhibits and animals are very well taken care of. It is definitely an all day affair with so many fun things to see and do. Everyone enjoyed renting an animal scooter to give them a break and the kids enjoyed driving them with us on the back. It would be well worth getting an annual membership.

Easy online ordering of tickets digitally to phone. Significant savings for a family of 6 and no waiting in line!

Very clean and quite spacious. Signs were a bit confusing and we doubled back often. Wasn’t too hot or crowded which was good. On a hot day I imagine it would be brutal. Getting there wasn’t simple as I figured there’d be signage. We didn’t see any but thanks for GPS. A bit pricey with no discounts for seniors and they ask you to contribute an extra $1! What for, who knows????? Anyway good time and employees were friendly.

We have visited this zoo before and had a very nice enjoyable experience. This time we went for the Christmas lights display. It was really well done and a fun little adventure for all. There were millions of lights and a large variety of themes and images.

Good zoo. Not at the level of SF’s, nor Columbus’, but real good. Everything had great signage and maps. The baboons were awesome. Excellent variety of critters. Nice use incorporating the animal displays into the desert setting. Easy to grab an Uber from their location. Worth the $ 30 admission

What has happened to this zoo? Over half the exhibits were completely empty. Are they too busy putting up lights for the holiday zoo lights? This zoo has a very, very large budget from generous donors and they spend most of it on new buildings for staff. The zoo use to be in the top ten with an excellent education department including homeschool classes.
Not anymore. It is very sad looking. I would not waste my money here again. Tucson zoo was smaller but had many more animals.
