Charleston Travel Guides (Updated October 2026)

I had a wonderful experience on the Dark Hauntings of Charleston tour! Darien was an excellent guide—very passionate, knowledgeable, and clearly well-researched. She shared fascinating stories and history throughout the tour and made the experience both interesting and enjoyable. Adam also did a great job coordinating everything and making sure the tour went smoothly. I had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this tour!

I really enjoyed the Charleston Harbor Live Narrated History Day/Sunset Boat Cruise! I took the 5:45 PM tour solo, and it was a great experience. The sunset views were beautiful, the sightseeing was excellent, and everything was well organized. I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this cruise!

Amazing tour! Sarah was informative, and knowledgeable. So creepy listening to the stories in the place where they occured. Highly recommend!

I am sure that all the guides are qualified, but our tour guide, Emerson, did an amazing job! He was knowledgeable, respectful, witty and made the entire experience much more informative and enjoyable than my wife or I expected! Highly recommend this company, and if you happen to take a tour with Emerson, you are in for a special treat!

We really enjoyed our experience with Captain KD. We learned so much about the area and saw so many dolphins. Morris Island was beautiful, we saw some beautiful shells and tons of birds. Make sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, water and a snack if needed. Everyone we spoke to was very friendly. There are two bathrooms at the office but none available during the trip.

Marco was great and very knowledgeable. The tour was really enjoyable and the other participants were so much fun.

It was a very pleasant boat ride out to Fort Sumter, with a tour guide named Kevin who was exceptionally knowledgeable! We really enjoyed it, and sailed up close to the aircraft carrier, too! Top notch!

I’m so glad we did this tour! Very relaxing and educational!

Such a fun experience and the staff was great. Madeline at the front desk was super friendly and helpful!Mason was our kayak guide and was so knowledgeable about the area. We learned a lot about the area and he also gave some great tips for the rest of our trip!

Beautiful day, with dolphins, a boat ride and a fort with history. Our guide and historian was excellent, really knew history. So much to know about the fort and it's place in history.

What a great experience. Learned about the plantation and it's history. Spent a good portion of the day and enjoyed every minute. This is a must see attraction if you are visiting Charleston.

Great quick tour of town. Everytime we go we learn something new.

Take your time and try to listen to as many talks as you can ( very well done and interesting). Great ice cream.

We loved our cemetery tour. Our Guide Darian was both knowledgeable and helpful in all things Charleston. She was delightful! Would definitely recommend this all tour.

Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful. Easy and enjoyable. No stress, no mess. No constant talking by a tour guide. Loved it!

Fun tour. Short duration which was perfect for us.
