Welcome to Glenwood Springs

Glenwood Springs is a historic Colorado hot springs resort town at the confluence of the Roaring Fork and Colorado Rivers in the Rocky Mountains 160 miles west of Denver. Glenwood began life as Defiance, a rough frontier camp built around a railroad stop and the natural hot springs used by Native Americans since ancient times. Now, European visitors have been coming to the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort for over 130 years. It is the world’s largest hot springs pool and one of Colorado’s most iconic attractions. Outdoor sports like hiking, mountain biking, and whitewater rafting are popular in the area, and the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is the only mountain-top theme park in the U.S.
