Phil was our tour guide. He was magnificent. I loved the way he truly walked us through the history of Treme using music that was hung around his neck. It was quite an informative and interesting tour. Unfortunately, we could not finish the tour since someone in our party felt ill. This was quite a shame since it was so good. When we go back, this is a tour we will definitely repeat.

My two friends and I signed up for the Treme walking tour with tour guide Erin, and we really enjoyed it and learned a lot of history. Erin's knowledge (& ability to remember all that information) was very impressive! The hurricanes were tasty, too! It was a hot day that turned stormy as we got near the Tomb of the Unknown Slave. Our guide directed us to stand under a house's awning to try to stay dry while she continued talking. Fortunately, I'd packed some rain ponchos, but the other people in our tour group didn't and got wet as we moved on. It would've been wonderful if the tour guide had been given rain ponchos to distribute in case of rain. This was a very informative and moving tour. I recommend it to anyone interested in the history of Treme and NOLA in general.

Phill was a great tour guide. I've done a handful of tours in New Orleans and this may have been my favorite. I loved learning about Treme, jazz and music history, civil rights history and more. The tour even ended near a Second line that was just about to begin, which was an amazing experience. Thank you

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Treme'. We learned a lot about the vibrant culture of the neighborhood and greatly appreciated its place in New Orleans history. Thank you Andrea!! You are very knowledgeable and we loved the fact you brought with you a device to play music which corresponded with each place we visited. We will definite tell our family and friends about tour.

This tour provided us with so much eye-opening history of the Treme neighborhood and the influence it had on the music and culture of New Orleans. Our tour guide, Erin, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us fascinating insight while keeping the tour entertaining and fun. She told us about jazz cornet player Buddy Bolden, who I was unfamiliar with and now want to research. While walking through Louis Armstrong Park, she showed us photos of the streets and houses that were demolished to create the park. My favorite part was when she explained the meaning of certain song lyrics in relation to locations and traditions of Treme. Although I knew those songs (“Iko Iko” and “Mardi Gras in New Orleans”), I hadn’t understood these references, so now I’ll think of this tour whenever I hear them!
