Ready to take on the day, we check out the fortune cookie factory and take a peek inside! Next, we stroll down the street of the infamous 10-cent haircut.
But wait, the adventure doesn’t stop there! Next, we’ll check out the oldest bakery in Chinatown, a church that survived the 1906 earthquake, and the oldest temples in the USA while sipping some delicious bubble tea.
As we approach our final hour, we head to a local tea shop and learn about the role of tea in traditional Chinese medicine with a 30-minute tasting.
Feeling warm, we head to our last food stop to learn about the Gold Rush, in the exact spot it all started!

What a wonderful experience we had with Jacob as our guide. We enjoyed the dim sum, the pastry, the sights and sounds of San Francisco’s Chinatown and learned about its rich history. We spent a few hours on our tour and ended it with a tea tasting experience unlike any other. We learned about tea and the culture from Ming who was knowledgeable and experienced in sharing the Chinese passion for tea.
I don’t know what I expected on this tour but I feel like we got more than we expected. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting SF.

I had not been to Chinatown in many years. Jacob was our tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the neighborhoods and their history connecting it to CA including the Gold Rush. Also Jacob was able to answer all of our questions regarding the food and drinks that we tasted as well as the streets of Chinatown that we walked. I strongly recommend Jacob and this tour if you want a delicious and historical afternoon.

What amazing tour we had today. Julie is a wonderful tour guide and showed parts of Chinatown that we would not have been aware of on our own. Her knowledge of the community and the food was so enjoyable to learn about. Go hungry; you will enjoy all that is offered. Hard to pick a favourite spot but I have to say I really enjoyed the tea room. My husband and I are inquisitive retired teachers, and Julie was up to the challenge. Thank you Julie for a wonderful afternoon.

What an amazing tour and tour guide! We loved Robin and since we are semi local (San Jose) Robin was great with my husband adding information on famous skate locations! Haha…..But really, this was such a great experience, hearing of the culture and history of the famous Chinatown, we learned so much! The boba was amazing, Dim Sum and non stop snacking was perfection! The cherry on top was truly Uncle at Vital Tea. He was hilarious, insightful and the best way to end the tour!And we enjoyed it so much, we have decided to book the same tour again for our children to experience!Thank you Robin! I love Chinatown SF! As a local, the experience left me wanting to do more neighborhood exploring and gave me some great spots that I will definitely return to. Great tour & our guide, Robin, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tea tasting was interesting, to say the least, but you must go with an open mind and if you are lucky enough to get Uncle as your sales person, just enjoy the show and understand it’s all for fun! I highly recommend this tour!

Blair was an awesome guide with an awesome tranquility about him that made it feel casual and not rushed to fit everything into the schedule. He had great tidbits about each section and was a good combination of talking and eating. First time doing a food tour and this left a great impression to do it again. Highly recommend it!

This was such a fun tour. The food was great Jacob the guide was hilarious and knowledgeable (and not a bad name either haha).So the tea tasting was the best part. I was worried because Previous reviews said it was offensive. But we had a great time. Uncle G might be a little inappropriate, but everyone in the Tea Shop was laughing and my wife and daughter both asked for a picture with him. Inappropriate is not the same thing as offensive.Aside from that we had great dumplings, Peking duck, some bubble tea and a delicious egg tart. I absolutely recommend this tour when you come to San Francisco.
