This was a fabulous tour. We had such a good time strolling through the streets and back roads of Charleston. Our tour guide was so informative and able to tell us details of the people who lived in the various houses. We would highly recommend this tour! Very appreciative of the personal attention to details.

I've lived in Charleston for 4 years and walked around downtown many times but, with all I learned on this tour, walking around downtown will now be a richer experience. Evans provided a wealth of information that made the streets of Charleston come alive. His love for Charleston was evident in the stories he told and the pride he took in the city. Charleston is a beautiful city and we were treated to some of its most impressive spots. Our guide Evans selected stops that included historical homes not usually seen on other tours. These “off the beaten track” spots were some of the most historically important and beautiful sites in Charleston.

Evans was highly knowledgable and very personable. He know almost everything there is to know about the people, history, architecture, flora and fauna of Charleston. This tour felt more like a friendly neighborhood walk with friends than a formal tour. Would recommend!

My wife and I booked this walking tour last minute on our last day of our weekend visit, and it ended up being a private tour for the two of us. We learned so much and were also throughly entertained. Evans is a fantastic tour guide and incredibly knowledgeable. He knows so many of the local residents, shop owners, and vendors and we found his small talk and banter with those along the way particularly charming. We would take this tour or any of his others again. Highly recommended.
