What an incredible experience! Capt. Judah and the crew were knowledgeable and genuinely interested in our receiving the best whale watch possible. We started the day with a complete fog cover but the Island Cat steered through it to clear, sunny skies and we saw many humpbacks--mother and calf, sleeping giants, showy tails and entertaining tales to understand whale and marine behavior. We also saw sea lions sunning on a small island. The boat is comfortable and viewing from the decks or cabin is excellent. The small group size makes it easy to feel welcome, with a captain eager to find the best spots and time for everyone to see the wildlife. Lunch wraps, chips and self-serve drinks were perfect for the trip and tasty. It was gratifying to know we were supporting locally-owned businesses. Next trip to Ketchikan, we will go with Capt. Judah again! Whether you're on a cruise ship looking for an excursion or headed to Ketchikan on your own--WHALES AND LUNCH is the experience to choose.

Wow what an amazing experience to do in Ketchikan! This tour took us out to a salmon breeding farm and right along side of the farm was some huge black bears having a great time catching salmon in the river. Just incredible to see these beautiful animals in a natural environment doing their thing. A must see tour to do!

This was the perfect excursion for us. My 82 year old mom, cousin and myself. Fish ladder, Herring Cove, Rotary Beach, and Saxon Village. The price was right. No bears but many eagles, adults and a juvenile. Saw the eagles and other birds eating salmon. There was a Kingfisher also pointed out to us by guide. Our guide was Teddy, very knowledgeable and answered questions about the Ketchikan area. Group was easy to find at The Rock. Ended up bringing two cans so they could accommodate everyone. Late salmon run at Creek Street fish ladder, many fish and Teddy made sure we could see them. We had time at each stop, but mindful of our schedules. Unfortunately the only bear sign we saw was the garbage can that had been the breakfast bear. I was booking this cruise for family members. Really wanted them to enjoy and not be disappointed. They throughly enjoyed. Teddy was very solicitous with my mom. Water and either reindeer sausages or smoked salmon. We lucked out that the weather was amazing, just a few raindrops. Teddy saw that I had my film camera and was helpful getting some great photos. Also many opportunities to take pictures on my phone. I looked very closely at reviews and different excursions. Booked thru Cool Destinations and couldn’t have been more pleased. Highly recommend.

Mark was very friendly and knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time explaining things and was very accessible. Loved the small boat with only a few people on it. We saw a humpback come up several times!! Captain Morgan did a great job getting us near the whale but at a respectful distance.

We spent a beautiful, peaceful afternoon on the ocean with Aine. We are experienced kayakers but had never been shown how to enter a kayak from a dock. Aine’s method was effortless, safe and efficient. We saw sea lions, harbor seals, eagles, jelly fish, star fish, etc. and learned about the surrounding area. Aine shared her knowledge about the wildlife, expanding on the studies of starfish. We had snacks after our time on the water, locally caught and smoked salmon - it was delish! We were picked up and dropped back to our cruise ship on time and the drivers shared information about Ketchikan.

From the knowledgeable Lori who drove us from the main port out to Neets Bay to Nate the very capable skipper of our vessel; the comfortable Miss Allison the trip was brilliant. Charlotte our guide filled us with amazing facts about the wildlife, local area, indigenous tales she was so exuberant and patient with some guests not wanting to listen. The trip certainly met my expectations with close up encounters with bears and Stellar Sea Lions. Sightings of Bald Eagles and Humpback Whales - it was brilliant. Thank you all very much ❤️

I cannot stress enough how incredible this tour is. If you are in Ketchikan and are wanting to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity - this is absolutely it…From start to finish this was everything my wife & I expected and more.. The tour was very natural, with lots of time out at see & the boat was pristine. We were able to take all our photos and even got airdropped photos from the drone!!

Fun, clean, and uniquely Ketchikan. Great all-around. The tour was prompt, clean, and easy from start to finish. We appreciated being driven out to the different highlights listed in the tour, including Ketchikan Creek, Rotary Beach, Herring Cove, and the Native totem/cultural stops. It was a great mix of rainforest, coastline, wildlife-viewing areas, and local history!

This was an awesome experience! Great way to see the sights, learn some history, and get a huge dose of terribly awesome Dad Jokes! Abigail was our tour guide and Frank was the driver and they were fantastic, engaging and funny! Would absolutely recommend!

Great trip around the local islands. See eagles, Sitka deer, a sea lion and just overall enjoyed the ride. Unfortunately no whales, but we knew it was late in the season.

We are duck tour lovers so this is not our first and won’t be our last. We were fortunate enough to have a Ketchikan local Ellie to be our guide and she was very knowledgeable about the town’s history. The only thing I miss is no quackers till the end, I get it, the poor driver must go insane listening to that all day but that’s part of the experience for me.

The show was corky and fun. Great way to learn about Ketchikan’s lumber history and the exciting lumberjack sports.

We had an amazing experience with our tour guide. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. She really made sure to play close attention and care to elderly father. We were able to see a bear which was certainly the highlight of the trip! Her personal experience and stories of the town made it even more memorable. Highly recommend!!

OMG this was worth every penny! It was a true all you can eat Dungeness crabs and they were AMAZING !! The show was awesome too!!

The kayaking was very fun! We saw lots of wildlife. The guides were knowledgeable and the pace was relaxed yet also adventurous. Local snacks and beverages were a nice touch.
