Our tour guide Gatlin was great. We were able to get to Creek Street before the crowds. He took us out to the rain forest where we took a hike to the beach. So beautiful

It was FABULOUS! Our tour guide was Saints. He was a gentleman, very knowledgeable, personable, friendly and overall great guy. He took his time to explain things. Showed us features on our iPhone for taking photos that we didn't even know existed! We did not realize the power of the camera in our iPhones. Since the tour ended up being only my husband and I, he took us on a great hike (we love hiking). He really personalized the excursion to us. They keep their groups small regardless so it makes it personal. Even if you do now enjoy photography but love nature, it is a GREAT excursion to get "off the beaten path" and potentially see more wildlife. It you can, ask for the tour guide names Saints (not sure if I am spelling it correctly but this is the pronunciation).

This tour was great! We located the van at the #2 dock. Echo Hawk was our guide for this excursion. She was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about the culture and lifestyle of the Alaska natives and Native American clans. We saw things we might not have seen on other tours.....like the Eagles sitting in the tree, the salmon running the ladder, and a bear climbing stairs to someone's home ! It was a great experience!!

We had a riot!!!! Such a great day. The guides were excellent - very knowledgeable. The canoeing was beautiful on the lake and the off-roading portion was AMAZING! Highly recommend.

We booked this charter for a very meaningful reason — to spread my dad’s ashes in Ketchikan — and Captain Scott could not have been more wonderful. From the start, communication was easy and seamless. He was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and understanding of our situation. He was completely open to customizing the day around what felt right for us and went above and beyond to make sure we had the experience we wanted. We also had such a great time out on the water. Captain Scott is genuinely one of the nicest people, and we loved chatting with him and hearing his stories. He made us feel comfortable right away, and it felt like we were spending the day with an old friend. We appreciated being able to bring our own snacks and drinks and make the boat our own for the day. We’re so grateful we chose this charter. Captain Scott helped us create such a special memory, and we can’t recommend him enough!

My wife and I booked this "Safari" as part of our cruise stop in Ketchikan. We wanted something more adventurous and scenic (and wanted to get away from the crowds of Skecher-wearing seniors in town). Overall, this was a fun little excursion and a great way to see and experience the wilderness outside of this quaint town. We were met just outside the dock by the friendly assistant manager who would take us up into the secluded forest and lake. We were also met by a local safety-Sally who was scolding our driver for going through a stop sign and driving recklessly. Wowie! (This was the closest thing we had to an encounter with a Sasquatch while in our time in Alaska.) It's obvious that this company takes safety seriously so I doubt this happened but thanks for the concern "Karen". Anyhoo, we made it to our starting point by the lake where we met our guides and were issued life-vests and some wooden oars for our canoe trip. After a leisurely 15-minute paddle on a calm and beautiful lake we stopped for a snack on a patio hidden in the rainforest. (Honestly, the paddle wasn't that strenuous and was worth the wonderful clam chowder that was waiting for us...but I would wear a raincoat as you will be getting splashed a bit.) We then had a guided stroll through the nearby forest trail (that was laid-down on wooden planks) where we saw some giant trees and ferns and took in the sights. (Seriously, I would wear a raincoat and some good walking shoes or hiking boots and leave the flip-flops and Crocs behind.) After the canoe trip back we were met by a convoy of Jeep Wranglers. You are divided up into groups of 4-5 who each get their own Jeep and a walkie-talkie. After a safety and seatbelt check, off we went with the guide in the lead talking about points of interest thru the walkie-talkie. The off-road trail is rocky, muddy and bumpy with some slight inclines but it was definitely fun. (My video below shows that it was bumpy enough that I would not recommend this excursion if you have back problems and you definitely want to use the bathroom before you start the drive.) Along the way we did see some Blacktail deer and some incredible mountain vistas but never encountered the dreaded Alaskan mosquitos we heard so much about and there were a couple of stops where you get to change drivers so everyone in the vehicle has a chance at off-road driving. Overall this was a fun and active tour which gave us a little taste of outdoor adventure. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the canoes and Jeeps we used appeared newer and well-maintained (which can't be easy considering the numbers of tourists going thru this tour).

This was an excellent walking tour where we were able to see salmon swimming and bald eagles feasting on them. This was not a difficult hike and I would highly recommend it.

This was one of our excursions on our cruise to Alaska and one of our best. Our guide (Saint) was very knowledgeable and informative of the surrounding area, he even gave of some pointer tricks with shooting with our IPhones camera.

Amazing tour. Kay and the team are amazing. So informed and knowledgeable Learned so much and saw so many amazing photo perfect locations

The Ketchikan Canoe and Jeep Safari was a fantastic excursion that combined beautiful scenery with plenty of adventure. We started with a peaceful canoe ride across a gorgeous lake, taking in the stunning surroundings and enjoying the quiet beauty of Alaska. After the canoe trip, we enjoyed a delicious bowl of chowder before heading out on a nature walk, where we learned more about the local environment. The adventure really picked up when we climbed into the jeeps and drove through rough terrain and giant mud puddles—it was an absolute blast! Our guides were enthusiastic, energetic, and made the entire experience fun from start to finish. They kept everyone engaged while making sure we had a safe and memorable adventure. If you’re looking for an excursion that offers a little bit of everything—beautiful scenery, great food, outdoor exploration, and off-road excitement—this is an excellent choice

Jeep & Canoe trip was a blast. Jeep ride is definitely a bumpy 4 wheel excursion. The canoe trip & snacks were a nice break from the Jeep ride. Would definitely do again!

Rebecca was wonderful. She explained the clans, and native culture. Unfortunate we did not see whales nor bears. An eagle and other birds.

Ketchikan Rain Forest and Potlatch Park were gorgeous. Saint, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. He also showed me some awesome tricks on taking photos, very passionate about the area. Worth every penny. ❤️

10/10 Experience our guides name was SAINT ; if you’re lucky enough to have him you’ll have a wonderful experience. He truly is an authentic person that helped my husband and I have a wonderful time. He also showed us some awesome techniques

Saint was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and really taught us a lot about the area. It was downpours of rain today but he did a really good job giving us great photography opportunities. I like the guy. He’s a great story teller and very entertaining

Saint was an excellent guide - personable, engaging, knowledgeable in Ketchikan subjects, photography and storytelling, and a safe driver. I’m a beginner, using a somewhat temperamental phone camera, and Saint was able to help me understand (at a newbie-level) not only the steps to use my phone’s available features, but also how to up my photos’ impact with slight changes in approach. This was Saint’s first season in Ketchikan and - wow!, did he do his homework! His knowledge of the points of interest, history and nature was rich and extensive. I recommend this tour even if you never intend to break out a camera - as a walking tour, it’s just that good. From the tidepools and beach, upstream with the salmon into the forest, to a recreated traditional village and totems, to historical Ketchikan downtown, this tour was great value for the money and time spent. I’d definitely be a repeat customer.
