Welcome to Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach, an ocean-front city on the Atlantic Coastline of Central Florida, gained prominence during the 1960s due to the U.S. space program at NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center approximately 15 miles north of town. Tourism soon followed, with the Cocoa Beach Pier built in 1962 and the town’s annual Easter Surfing Festival launched in 1964. Today, the rockets at Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral still draw thousands, but Cocoa Beach visitors can also enjoy a huge variety of other activities. Cocoa Beach offers everything from kayaking with manatees or dolphins to deep-sea fishing, standup paddle boarding, surfing, scuba diving, tank-driving, biking around town, or relaxing with beachside cocktails.
