Florida bioluminescence is the #1 kayaking trip in the Orlando, Cocoa beach area. We are located about an hour from Universal Studios and The Walt Disney world area theme parks. Our "tourist tours or "visitor tours", as the locals would call them, are ideal for a romantic evening on the water or an expedition in the name of science with the little ones (as long as they are over 5yrs of age). Our tour guides will guide you through the Indian River lagoon and show you something truly magical as we make our way through mangrove trails and the shallow flats of the lagoon.
We will spend a leisurely 90 mins on the water during this tour. You may want to leave the camera at home for this excursion, as the bioluminescence is very hard to photograph unless you have professional equipment.
Description
Itinerary
* Please arrive 30 mins prior to tour time. We will begin a safety orientation 15 mins prior to launch time, if you miss the start of orientation, you will miss your tour.
We will launch onto the Indian River lagoon to paddle around the local vicinity to experience the intense glow of the bioluminescent dinoflagellate algae. We will be paddling in 1 of only 5 bioluminescent bays in the world. The only Bio bay in the continental United States. Titusville is home to the brightest bioluminescence in the world. It is also the home of NASA, we may even see a rocket launch while on tour! While on tour we will explain how the bioluminescence works, we'll even let you touch it! We'll also let the guides do what they do best, show you a great time on the water! We will also see the Milky way over head in late June thru early October!
Once we begin to wrap up the tour, we will begin our paddle back to the launch site. Once we've all landed back ashore we will trade handshakes and high 5's for the paddles and life jackets back lol.

Erin was a great tour guide! The jellies were just the tip of what we saw. We saw a manatee come up for air, several herons a raccoon and as we were leaving dolphins jumping. The night sky was amazing.!

We had the perfect evening (Christmas eve) with the perfect guide in Erin. This is a rare spectacular treat to see such a natural phenomenon right in our own backyard. We had been to the Biobay in Vieques but this was even better. We were surrounded by dolphin, held small jellies, learned incredible history of our own area, explored three types of mangroves all with the vehicle assembly building of nasa in the background. What a great experience and we thank Erin for her knowledge and patience with such a large group. Very safe even for those who don’t kayak and so much fun for those of us who kayak a lot. This was a night to remember but we will return in the summer next time. Just remember bug spray. Merry Christmas!

My son, his gf and I went out on the bioluminescence tour late last night with Guy with Florida-Adventurer. The night was exceptionally calm and the water was as smooth as glass, quite out of the ordinary for the first week of December, or even other times. It was so calm you could see the bottom. No wind, temperature was not bad for 11 pm at night. You could see the reflection of the stars on the surface of the water! The night sky was mostly clear, without a lot of artificial light around you could see lots of constellations and on the horizon in the far distance the launch area of the Kennedy space center.Guy is an amazing tour guide, took us through the Mangrove tunnels, saw a dolphin, needle fish, baby shark, a (dead) horseshoe crab, shrimp, night heron, a great blue heron, an osprey, mullet jumping on the surface of the water. He has so much knowledge about the ecosystem of the estuary, he has a plethora of information which made the trip even more interesting. The highlight was truly the algae/dinoflagellates and the comb jellyfish. Simply magical! It was like pixie dust had been scattered in the water and with splashes and movement the water would magically glow! It was so fun to splash the water or stir it. Nature is so fascinating!
The rates were the cheapest around and well worth the hour and 1/2 it took to get there from where we were staying.
Guy generously spent extra time in the water with us, took us to areas that aren't always accessible due to weather. You can tell this is his passion and has a love for the wildlife and their habitat. Thanks Guy for a night to remember!

This was well worth the money and Guy, the tour guide, was great. He was very knowledgeable in the plant and wildlife in the area. Thanks Guy for a great experience. We will have to return in the SummerTip for someone new...make sure you arrive 30 minutes early. You will most likely be turned away if you arrive at the same time as the tour start time. Its not fair for the others on the tour to have to reduce their time on the tour because you werent there. Use the link to find the location for the tour. Titusville tour is on the wildlife refuge several miles in. Not in the middle of town as Google would make you think. Follow the link with your verification email.

I cannot give this experience enough stars. Guy was our tour guide and he is INCREDIBLE! I have never been on a better guided tour. Guy was an absolute sweetheart to put up with our crazy group and answer all of our questions. Not only did he provide lots of information in a really interesting way, but he also got some fantastic photos of our group that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Guy is the bomb dot com.Now to the tour. WOW. I am a huge wildlife fan and this experience of being up close and personal in one of the most biodiverse refuges on earth was like a dream come true. We got to see dolphins, manatees, and several types of birds during the sunset part of the tour. After dark, however, we got to experience one of the most magical things I have ever seen. The bioluminescent algae was beyond words. It was like kayaking through the stardust that we could see so clearly in the sky. Unbelievably beautiful. With that I will sum up that this is an absolute must do adventure! I cannot recommend this enough!
