Overview
Rafting on the Nenana river allows you to float along the natural boundary of Denali National Park. This allows you to peek into the Park without the traffic.
What's Included
- Professional River Guide, Drysuit, PFD, helmet, paddle (if needed), river shoes, transport to & from the river, safe location to store your personal belongings
- Warm Non-cotton base layers- polyester/wool, long johns, to wear underneath drysuit, extra socks
Meeting and Pickup
We pick up anywhere from 5 - 30 minutes before our trip depending on the location of the hotel. Customers can be picked up at the provided list of hotels. Please wait in the front lobby of the hotel with your booking information or your voucher.

What To Expect
Where the whitewater and scenery collide to make an ultimate rafting experience just outside Denali, Alaska. Enjoy 11 miles of rapids on the Nenana River. This trip is more adventurous, but yet for everyone to enjoy. With the option to join the team as a paddle rafter or play it cool & be an Oar Boat Rider. For ages 12+ years old and above.
Now, let's go run the waves of razorback, royal flush and coffee grinder!

- A thin glove layered by a pair of dish gloves
- Warm socks could be a wool pair of socks or an extra thick pair of winter socks

High-water / Wind Policy (Canyon Wave Only)
If New Wave cancels a Canyon Wave trip due to high water, wind or other safety reasons you will automatically be rebooked to the Wilderness Wave at the same time slot. If you have booked through a third party call us before your trip, for access to waivers, confirm pick up, and get any important trip updates.

If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the tour local time (AKDT).
