Jose was an amazing, knowledgeable, wonderful guide. My friend and I had an 8-day visit to Azores, with Pico island being the second island we visited, but for less than 2 days. Jose tailored the itinerary to that time and we were able to see so much even with the limited time. The highlight was him explaining the growing and harvesting of the grapes in the UNESCO wineries, one of which is his. Although we don't drink, we were fascinated by the entire process and how unique it is on the islands. Additionally, we needed to ensure we had places to eat dinner and get around and he was gracious enough to arrange for restaurant reservations, as well as provide transportation services. Lastly, he shared with us his homemade jams - which are amazing! We will never forget our time with Jose, especially the memories we created and the conversations we had. Highly, highly recommend!

The tour is such a treasure and Silvia was an excellent guide! She had a rich knowledge of the island and a clear passion for its distinctive history and culture. Our experience with Oh My Cod, and with our guide Sylvia, was stellar! We learned so much and Sylvia went above and beyond to ensure our experience was fantastic. For example, I off-handedly mentioned that we hadn’t yet tasted limpets and she called ahead to the restaurant and asked that they be included in our tasting. She introduced us to Paolo, the owner of Insulus Vinus (a wonderful winery on Pico) , who was gracious and shared all of his delicious wine. A very heartfelt “Thank You” to Sylvia and Oh My Cod!

An amazing tour with some amazing views. Make sure to wear sneakers because you explore some caves. You take a break overlooking the ocean with delicious cheese and one of the best homemade jams I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend!

We had the lucky experience of joining Jose for a 1/2 day Pico wine tour. Jose communicated with us ahead of time and accommodated us when our flight to the island was delayed. Jose is a fantastic guide- he clearly adores his island and shared his deep knowledge and love with us. He showed us his own vineyard in the UNESCO region, helping us understand the history and very unique qualities that go into Pico wines. We had a lovely tasting at a Madalena wine shop. Jose is a gem- his stories and knowledge are broad and he brings great joy to a visit in Pico. We met in Faial a few days later and had a sweet reunion. We feel like we have a friend in Pico

I would highly recommend my experience with the tour of Czar Winery and the surrounding area. Our guide, Silvia, and the wine producer, Fortunato, were friendly, engaging, informative and made it a truly enjoyable afternoon. Silva certainly made everyone in the group feel welcomed. We tasted some incredible and rare wines, accompanied by an equally rare local cheese, as he explained in great detail the history of it all. The tour began with a walk through the unesco wine region and a sangria tasting at a nearby wine village. Please consider this tour when visiting the island of Pico.

We did this tour our first night in Pico. It was a great beginning to see some of the island and had a delicious tapas dinner at a local family owned restaurant. It was an opportunity to try many local dishes and wine with a wonderful guide.

We had an amazing experience this sunset tour with our guide Gabriel. When we arrived we found out we were the only ones that evening, so a private tour it was. Besides being very knowledgeable, Gabriel was a really outgoing and fun guy to have a conversation with. The views at the UNESCO heritage site, which consists of endless wine fields and lavastone walls, are unique and breathtaking. Add a setting sun in the mix and it's once in a lifetime. After a few more little stops at good swimming and drinking spots we went to O Petisca, a quaint little restaurant in Madalena where we were treated to a feast of different dishes of local ingredients, accompanied by a lovely Pico white wine.All in all, we had a blast and can look back at an amazing experience at which we fit to learn a lot and laugh a lot. Thank you Gabriel for an unforgettable experience. Recommended to everyone, you will not regret it.

Our family of six had the best time with Sylvia! She really tailored the trip to our interests and the kids loved the whole experience. Mom and dad loved being able to taste some yummy wine! Win-win!

Silvia and Natacha of Oh My Cod tours went above expectations as we required a change in plans for my friend who walks with a cane and could not walk far. Natacha picked us up in a car and gave us a private tour. They are professional, knowledgeable and fun! The tour was fascinating and Natacha is a chef with an interest in varied world cuisines. The wine at Insula winery was delicious with 4 whites, a blush and a red and the vintner was both innovative and informative. Our lunch was scrumptious and it was the best day of our visit to Pico! We recommend it highly.
