Oakland is a large port city lying just east across the Bay from San Francisco. Before Oakland’s 1854 incorporation as a city, the surrounding hills provided much of the oak and redwood used to build San Francisco. Oakland still features two redwood parks with some of the oldest trees in the Bay Area. A large urban lake, restored Victorian and Art Deco architecture, booming gallery and street art scenes, a food culture rivaling that of San Francisco, an urban wine trail, and easy access to the coast and wine country make Oakland a very engaging city. From the USS Hornet Aircraft Carrier Museum on Alameda Island to one of America’s oldest Chinatowns, Oakland provides an incredibly rich visitor experience.

Elizabeth is so knowledgable about everything that's going on locally. She has a fantastic grasp of lots the wine being made in the East Bay and elsewhere in northern California. She had great insight into how the wines were made and she was able to to answer any questions we had. She really made us feel welcome and helped feel at ease with wine even though it is a topic we don't have much experience in. We never felt like there was a question that was off limits. Elizabeth was incredibly sensitive to our somewhat beginner knowledge and was able to help us with advancing our learning about the area and winemaking in general in a very casual way.

This was a wonderful wine tour! Much more in depth than I expected, we learned so much from Elisabeth who has an encyclopedic knowledge of wine and yet managed to provide a fun and relaxed experience. Highly recommend!

This is a fun way to explore Oakland. I had fun doing the missions for this activity. The city of Oakland doesn’t have as much interesting sites and activities as San Francisco though.

Absolutely incredible experience and service. Our group was 8 girls celebrating a Bachelorette. Dean helped curate a perfect itinerary and our driver, Dharwin was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable about the Napa area. Our itinerary was perfectly planned and was exactly what we were looking for. It was also extremely convenient to have coordinated transportation that picked us up and dropped us off where we were staying. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to see Napa. Looking forward to doing this again very soon!
