Tour the Florida Bay looking for dolphins and manatees while listening to an overview of the Florida Keys ecosystem.
In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience! We also have a cooler stocked with ice, so feel free to bring any other snacks or drinks.

Three of us on a short 5 night stay in Key Largo. We so longed to be out in the water but put it off knowing the larger tours just aren’t our thing. Then we spotted Dolphins Plus Bayside and small boat eco tours. We dialed 305-394-7422 and actually spoke to a lovely woman who happened to be the business owner. Twenty minutes later we found Captain Russ at the meeting place under the canopy. The Captain is a kind fun loving guy who knows the lay of the land, the waters, and has a visceral appreciation for the balance between nature and man. He’s also a salty character ( I know he’d want us to say that/ yes it’s true). Our 2 hour tour included respectful viewing of Manatee, the Everglades, canals, red mangrove education, we saw nurse shark, snook needlefish, parrot fish, fossilized coral and so much more. We laughed, oooed and ahhhed in this very down to earth experience. When the tour concluded the Captain shared great recommendations for excellent affordable quality dining and touring options. Really enjoyed our tour with Chris. My only complaint was that we had been assured we would have shade, and because they had a boat issue, we ended up with a boat with only two seats in the shade and the other two tourists took them. Enjoyed learning about the ecosystem here in the Keys, and Chris was able to answer all of our questions.

There were only 4 of us on the boat besides our captain/guide, Kate. She was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. She even let me borrower her polarized sunglasses so I could see the group of manatee we came upon better in the water. There were about 6 of them. In addition we spotted a stingray, white heron, several other birds and many different fish.What a wonderful way to spend some time on the water and without being crowded with a large group of people. Would highly recommend.

This eco tour was fantastic! Captain Chris’ knowledge of the area was impressive. The tour was educational as well as beautiful and fun. The ride itself was relaxing. Being on a boat with a small group made the tour pleasant. Captain Chris also recommended Lolo’s Kitchen for lunch-we ended up eating there 2x it was so good! Highly recommend taking this tour!

Eco tour with Captain Kate. We were very lucky - we were the only people on the tour and we saw a lot of wildlife: a dolphin, three manatees, two stingrays and then another dolphin. Kate was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, excellent at spotting the animals. But it was also very peaceful out there,especially amongst the mangroves on the ocean side.We didn’t feel rushed and got a bit longer than advertised, so it all felt very enjoyable.
