We had such an amazing tour today! It was the perfect combination of food, culture, and history, and we got to experience the city in a way we definitely wouldn’t have on our own. Elizabeth was absolutely incredible! knowledgeable, passionate, warm, and so much fun to spend time with. She shared fascinating stories and local insights, and everything felt very authentic rather than touristy. The food was delicious, but what really made the experience special was how Elizabeth connected everything we tasted to the culture and history of the place. One of the best experiences of our trip so far. Highly recommended!

The vegetarian cooking class was a highlight of my visit to Oaxaca. Victor, the chef/instructor, explained the history of the largely plant-based cuisine of the region, and shared memories of his grandmother’s traditional cooking. Besides helping to prepare (and eat) delicious food with layers of flavors, I received an excellent lesson on Oaxacan culture. Highly recommended!

We had high expectations for this tour and they were absolutely exceeded. The market tour was very informational and we even got to see where maiz is processed. The cooking experience in Minerva Lopez’s home was absolutely incredible since she has so much knowledge to share. Overall a major highlight of our trip and we hope to return soon!

Rare and wonderful! Sandy our guide and Tonya Minerva’s daughter picked us up and took us for a market tour. It was nice to see and have experienced guides for the market. Minerva’s outdoor kitchen was amazing. We love to cook and the food, ingredients and cooking methods were a great opportunity to learn so much more. We learned to make an amazing mole and to cook tortillas on the Comal. She shared with us her 8 year journey from a suggestion that she do a cooking class for a couple interested in learning local cooking methods to now with regular groups traveling through her home. Our experience for so special with Minerva and her team. We are particular about how we spend our time on vacation and prefer this mix of smaller, personal and local experience. We highly recommend!

A highlight of our trip!
Our guides and the family behind the distillery are passionate about their work, and it shows in the care given on this tour. The information was very interesting, and Mariana had such a nice, enthusiastic energy in the telling. We enjoyed the history, the process of distillation, and learning about the different agaves. The mezcals we tasted were wonderful, very smooth, with such different “notes.” And we enjoyed different traditional snacks. Highly recommend!

Perfect Mezcal Tour!
We had an amazing time on this mezcal tour with Daniel and it was a great value for the money spent. We were able to visit three different artisanal distilleries/palenques and sample a wide variety of excellent mezcals. The process of making mezcal was shown at the first palenque along with the wide variety of agave plants and then we sampled some product, purchasing a bottle at each palenque! We definitely started to feel inebriated after the second visit, but were confident we were safe being escorted by Daniel and we were certainly glad we did not attempt to do this on our own! We also had time to stop for a good authentic lunch in between. Daniel is a very personable, kind and reliable young man who does his best to deliver a positive tour experience. We highly recommend this mezcal tour and are grateful for the memorable day!

We reserved a Mezcal Mixology three hours before the class, and IT DID NOT disappoint! Diego is a great and fun teacher that takes you from basics, we did three drinks and the last one you get to create your own using the skills you just learnt. We were mixing dancing and laughing in the classroom, and the drinks were AMAZING 🤩 Highly recommend!

My boyfriend managed to find the perfect experience for us (we are both absolute beer lovers). There was not a single beer we didn’t like (some more than others, though my favorite was this Porter called Portfirio) It is literally a whole in the wall, the place was empty and we had the owners to ourselves and learned more than we bargained for. Maryrose, again, was so hospitable and an absolute delight. On our last visit, in july, we went with a group of friends and we went on the Tip Top Tacos and Seafood for you tours, both of them amazing as well!Go on at least on tour with our girl! you will not regret it! It's a whole other way to get to know and see more beyond the typical tours in Huatulco. Can't wait to go on our next little adventure with Maryrose this fall :)

An excellent way to learn about artisanal mezcal production at a relaxed pace, while having the opportunity to meet the owners of the *palenques* and share quality time with them. Daniel offers authentic experiences and is always very attentive to everyone's needs during the tour. The groups are never too large, which allows you to really get to know the people you share the experience with. Highly recommended!

A very beautiful trip to the Oaxaca mountains!
A super enjoyable day hiking in a beautiful area and route - through forest and up to an amazing view! One of my favourite days in Oaxaca!Lovely small group (3 in total). Everything was well organised and smooth. There was an opportunity to buy some snacks before we set off. We didn’t end up going for the lunch at the end of the trip as we spent longer on the hike/at the viewing point, but the group were all happy with this.Daniel is a very friendly guide, with lots of local knowledge and switches between Spanish and English to accommodate the group.Highly highly recommend this peaceful and gorgeous trip!
