What a tour! Our guide Jose V. was fantastic! Incredibly knowledgeable about historical sights, sincere, and paid close attention to us.He paid attention to details which made our trip interesting and fun.Like sharing great photo opportunities, staying with us until we were checked in at our overnight hotel ( which was really nice- exceptional breakfast and pool) and helping us order at meals. Fernando is very knowledgeable and adds enormous value to touring the the fascinating offerings outside Oaxaca Centro. We were two American couples and couldn’t have been more pleased with Fernando. His car is comfortable (and air conditioned), his English is good and his years of experience as a tour guide means he knows a lot about the archaeological sites, churches and which craft workshops in the many outlying villages for maximum insight. He’s also delightful company! Can’t recommend Fernando’s services highly enough!

Wonderful two days, getting to know the history and culture of Oaxaca. Our guide Edelmira gave us a lot of information about the Zapotec culture. She was also kind and caring as we are seniors and we had some mobility issues. Highly recommend this two day trip for first time visitors to Oaxaca.

Awesome time with Ivan - he really takes care of everything and provides a seamless experience. Our camp was set up, very comfortable, super clean, and had everything we needed. Having clean bathrooms right next to the campground was a huge plus. Fun hike with a rewarding swim to end (definitely bring your bathing suit even if you’re not typically a water person - you’ll want to jump in). Incredible home cooked meals and market experience as well - def a highlight. Highly recommend

This was a fantastic experience. Ivan made it easy from the pickup to drop off. We had great dinner at a local place, tents were comfortable and the sunrise experience with no other people around was just special. The hike, the trip back and the stop at the Sunday market made the visit even more fun. All in all, if you want to try a small group experience with very few to no people around and are excited to catch a sunrise, highly recommend this trip with Ivan.

Overnight tour The road from Huatulco to Escondido is under construction and not for the faint of heart but our guide Victor handled all driving like a pro safely and comfortably for tourist. Day one included a long drive a meal of local cuisine. Victor was a wealth of information and the tours to the ruins of mitla abejedes of St Martin. The mercado at Ocotlán were world class. As good as or better than any we did in Europe. We visited the tulle tree where for a small donation we were given a comprehensive tour by a young girl practicing her English We arrived at our hotel which was small but clean and friendly around 7 pm. We self explored the area which included cathedrals a few street markets. A long street of Christmas decorations and celebrations. This was about 1.5 hours then we went to sleep. We got up early the hotel had a nice breakfast menu and coffee. We then self explored the city Centro square more celebration settings up and a manado just opening. We met our guide victor at 9 am at the hotel and began day 2. We saw black clay pottery making. Mezcal making , Monte alban ruins Victor again was amazing in his knowledge and also in problem solving. The tours were well worth the trip. The new highway had many areas of one way traffic and land slides. Because it turned out that we were only two of us we were able to make choices on where we spent time at Victor gave many suggestions and other options of areas of interest as we went along. We ended up getting back to hotel in Huatulco later than expected due to the highway 200 construction

Our tour guide was Jose Ventura, he was so knowledgeable about the history of each town that we visited. He went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable! We ended our tour feeling like Jose was part of our family!

I did the trip from Huatulco area, which is three and a half hours from Oaxaca, but it was well worthed. Monte Alban's pyramid ruins is one of the highlights of the trip, it seats on top of a mountain, overlooking at the city of Oaxaca. The many cathedrals, zocalo square, and authentic food was very nice as well. The only thing to be aware of, is the tour "hierve el agua", which was included in the package when I bought it but the tour company in Mexico claimed that they were not doing it anymore and that it was included by mistake because their website was not updated. Luckly my tour guide "Gonzalo Giovani" was an excellent guide and made it happen us. It is a magnificent place to observe nature, relax in the pools and do some hiking if times allows.

I loved the tours, the guide Edelmira, and the drivers Ramses and Edi Garcia were very careful and friendly. For those who like to learn about history and walk, I highly recommend!

This is the third time we have entrusted Tomas Vicente as our guide and host to Oaxaca. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone to take better care of you. We enjoy learning about the culture, visiting the sights, and traveling in comfort. Tomas works with his Zapotec colleagues and extended family of weavers to provide unforgettable and delightful immersion in the traditions, crafts and foods of this remarkable and authentic place. We've become so enchanted we'd rather return than go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

I can't recommend taking Thomas's tour enough. My husband and I travelled to Huatulco with our three kids 5,8 and 12 last December. Although we had an incredible time in Huatulco, such a beautiful, natural, safe and laid-back beach town oozing charm, authentic culture, beauty and relaxation, we really wanted to expose the kids to the wonders of Oaxaca, the food, the culture, crafts, traditions, the people and the language.There's no way we would have felt/ been safe driving around on our own, and as extensive travellers pre kids, we knew that a guide would take all the hassle, confusion and uncertainty out of the equation and add priceless insights being a local.From the moment we met Thomas, we were at ease and very happy. The kids all adored him and he entertained and amazed us with fun facts and stories. He took a genuine interest in us and our interests, and tailored the days perfectly to fit in visits and activities we'd enjoy. And we really did! Our experiences with Thomas will last our lifetimes. We are so grateful to him, the care and attention he showed us, his enthusiasm, his polite and gentle nature and his love for his beatifull state were so appreciated..Mexico is a truly amazing and magical country, the sights, colours, tastes, sounds history are mind blowing. A tour like this with Thomas lets you experience it all, safely and with maximum enjoyment.He helped us every step of the way, but was super respectful that we appreciated some downtime as a family. Anything we needed he was there and he truly went above and beyond.Thank you Thomas, you are truly exceptional and the best at what you do.

This was our 2nd time in Huatulco, Oaxaca & really wanted to visit the city. The drive is worth it! Be ready for a curvy drive through the mountains with beautiful views! The stop at San Jose de Pacifico was really a coffee stop but super cute! From there another 3 hours before arriving to the city. Oaxaca City is colorful, beautiful, & rich in history. Since it was only my husband and I , our time was flexible in regard to what we wanted to explore. The Hotel Helena was small but so nice & clean with friendly staff. Definitely take a stroll in the evening, enjoy a coffee, or dinner with mezcal drink! The archaeological sites are more than I could have expected! Rich in history and simply beautiful! Then, the Mezcal tasting was phenomenal! That’s a learn how it’s made and learned about quality. We also truly enjoyed the Artisanal shop. They were we had the opportunity to see how traditional craft is made and all the hard work put into their products. The family owned business was welcoming, kind, and did not pressure us into purchasing any items. However, I could not resist the beauty purchased a few souvenirs. El Tule is a majestic sight to see. Settled in a cute town with favorite flowers and wonderful people. Due to having to return to our hotel for Covid testing, we unfortunately had to cancel one stuff but hope to return and explore Hierve El Agua. Overall, despite loving the whole Experience, I would have appreciated an extra day in the city. The exploring Felt rushed and the reality is that the long drive can and very likely will tire anyone! But it is absolutely worth it! Our guide and Driver, Benjamin Castro, was knowledgeable, kind, funny, and flexible with any adjustments we needed to make. He has great driving skills and I had to go off to him for getting us there and back safely. He also made recommendations along the way for various stops, things to see, or food to try. We are very lucky to have him with us throughout our overnight stay. Altogether, I definitely recommend this trip and make sure to take your camera!

We were picked up from our Airbnb on time both days. We had a wonderful tour guide, Emeterio, who speaks English and Spanish. Emeterio explained the rich history of Monte Alban and always answered our questions. This 2 day tour was fun and we were able to buy Handmade crafts from the villages we stopped in. We recommend this tour and Emeterio as the tour guide.

We so enjoyed our tours with Amazing Huatulco, which included Monté Alban plus weaving studios and a community festival in Teotitlán del Valle. These experiences were highlights of our 9 days in Oaxaca. We were guided by Tomas, who was fluent in English, friendly, generous and very knowledgeable about history and tradition. This was the tour of a lifetime. Our guide, Victor shared the history which was amazing. Visiting all of the artisans and watching them work was so very interesting. We were a group of 13 with 2 children and loved every minute. I would highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful guides fluent in English. We were impressed with the depth of knowledge each of our guides had on the history, religion, politics, art forms, economy and geography. We came with a list of must-see places over five days. Both Thomas and Claudio were personable and were definitely the best part of our trip to Oaxaca.
