Top Oaxaca Audio Guided Tours

Great itinerary option for a day excursion. There is a guide for the van and a different guide for each stop. Great way to learn about nearby towns.

Juan is the best guide in the world. The tour is super well planned, I visited the iconic places from the movie, also the other places we visited, besides those from the movie, were wonderful. On the other hand, I liked that the tour was personal and not a group tour. That helped me to better enjoy the places and take my time.He is a person who knows a lot about Oaxaca and Nacho Libre, he answered everything from the simplest questions to the most random ones, he spreads his enthusiasm for these topics. Likewise, he always had a good topic of conversation. It is important to mention that he has an adventurous personality and is extremely kind. I traveled alone and felt very comfortable and safe at all times. He has a wonderful service attitude, he took all the photos and videos I needed to have a beautiful memory of this trip and I want to highlight that he is a guide who listens to you and tries to make the tour as personalized as possible, for example, at the restaurant where we stopped to eat he asked them to play my favorite singer and during the drive he played my favorite scene from the movie, I can safely say that that greatly elevated the experience. His attention to detail is unreal.Without a doubt, when I return to Oaxaca I will look for him.Thank you Juan! :D

Started our Nacho Libre Tour in the morning. Juan picked us up on time and at our hotel. Juan is a certified tour guide who knows so much about Oaxaca. We first enjoyed Monte Alban and we were blown away by the beauty of this archeological site. Juan was our driver, our tour guide and our personal photographer. He took some great shots of us and we even recreated some of the most iconic scenes of the movie…. We visited santuario Las Peñitas, a textile workshop where we got to see the artist doing what they love most. We visited a mezcaleria and we visited other Nacho Libre movie locations. We had an amazing time.. thank you Juan. We are definitely recommending you to our family and friends.

This service was à la carte all the way through but was reasonable for what we saw and did. Jorge was a very good tour guide, and Jose did a great job driving. Jorge was very personable and engaging and that helped provide a very positive experience throughout the time we spent together. He engaged everyone in the group, remembered our names, and shared some personal experiences of his own. The only criticism I have is about the website. It said water would be provided, but Jorge was unaware of this piece of information and we only had the little bit of water we brought or would have to buy some

Sometime after I booked the Magic Falls waterfall tour with him, Oscar contacted me on WhatsApp to coordinate the details. Within a few minutes, I not only felt confident about the tour details but, since my hotel didn't offer pickups and drop-offs, Oscar offered to handle that as well. Having someone waiting for us at the airport holding up a sign with my name on it was a nice way to start things off.On the day of the falls trip, Oscar picked us up on time with a smile. He had lived in the US for many years, and his English was great, but he was also more than willing to let me practice my Spanish (not everyone is so patient). We chatted in both languages during the drive and got to know a bit about each other and his community. We'd heard that the roads were a bit rough, but with his smooth driving, we were fine.Because we had picked a private tour of the falls, we had flexibility. Oscar laid out the options and let us pick, and we could stay at each spot as long as we wanted as long as we got back in time. So when we got to the falls with the rope swing and the kids wanted to use it 50 times, we didn't rush. He jumped in and swung the rope to each of us, one at a time. When one of the kids wanted to jump off the diving platform for the third time, he hung around and recorded it on video. It was more than an adventure tour. He told us about Oaxaca and about the work he does to support his community. He stopped so we could visit a family making tortillas and try it ourselves. He took us to the co-op he runs with his wife and kids and others from the community. There was a product presentation partway through the day, but the money goes back into the community, and his investment in the people around him is obvious. It wasn't like going to a timeshare; it was fun to learn about the products and felt good to contribute a little bit.We had one open day left at the end of our trip and ended up going fishing with him and his young son. We caught a couple of sailfish, got some pictures, and threw them back. Getting to know Oscar better and spending the day with his son made it that much richer. The last thing we did in Huatulco was spend a little more time with Oscar when he drove us to the airport, which was bittersweet. From being a friendly and informed guide to staying in contact with us to helping us navigate day-to-day challenges in Huatulco, Oscar really went above and beyond. Now that I know he offers a lot of other tours, we'll book everything with him the next time we visit.

This trip with Oscar was an incredible experience into local tales, as well as exploring the stunning waterfall park itself. Oscar did a great job providing additional context and details to local folklore and culture. He was receptive to plenty of questions for those with curious minds. He was also helpful and encouraging when it came to traversing some of the more complicated sections of the trail. The food to conclude the excursion was simply outstanding.

Incredible Tour with a Knowledgeable Guide in Oaxaca! We had an unforgettable experience exploring Oaxaca with Juan! From the moment the tour began, it was clear that he had a deep passion and knowledge of the region’s history, culture, and traditions.Visiting Monte Albán was a highlight—Juan brought the ruins to life with fascinating stories and historical details that we never would have learned on our own. He also took us to other incredible sites, sharing insights on everything from Zapotec civilization to local customs, making the entire experience both educational and engaging.Beyond the history, Juan was friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring we had a comfortable and enjoyable time throughout the tour. We highly recommend booking with Juan if you want a truly enriching and memorable visit to Oaxaca!

Oscar & Pablo were excellent hosts. Oscar picked us up from our hotel and drove us up to Pluma Hidalgo with a stop in Santa Maria, Huatulco, to see the church & a market. Oscar provided plenty of local knowledge and Pablo educated us and our small group about his family's coffee plantation. The coffee is incredible and I couldn't leave without taking some home.Highly recommended. Would do again. Latte, the puppy, stole the show.

We spent a lovely day with our guide from Top Tours Huatulco, Abigail or Abby. Abby spoke English well and we were able to use Google Translate a few times when the subject or works were more complicated. Abby also was patient and helpful with our Spanish and we were appreciative! We stopped to explore two towns before arriving at the Pablo's coffee cafe and plantation. Abby was welcoming and shared history and other helpful information about the area. The coffee plantation tour was educational and interesting. We learned a lot and will appreciate our coffee even more after this experience. Lunch back at the cafe was peaceful and delicious with even more information about roasting, distribution and sales. Thank you to Abby (and Pablo) for a wonderful day. We would book again with Abby.

BEST TOUR GUIDE EVER!!! Juan is a skilled storyteller and English/Spanish bilingual perfect! I wanted to see Monte Alban, Alebrije workshop, barro negro/coyotepec, and textiles! Juan can customize any tour for you. I went with my two friends! A private tour is awesome!!! He does tours all over Mexico and is a certified federal tour guide. Would recommend him to anybody!!!! Can’t wait to come back to Mexico again to have him as our tour guide!!! Next time we better hire him for 3 days in a row to show us around everywhere!!! HIGHLIGHT of our trip!!!!

Oscar is THE BEST! We booked him for airport pickup where he greeted us warmly with cold beers and a big smile! We scheduled a bay tour by boat but due to rough waters had to get creative. He graciously helped us to come up with an alternative plan and took us into La Crucecita for some shopping, La Entrega for awesome snorkeling (he even went out with us to show us the best spots and pointed out the different fish!), Bahia Maguey for lunch and then Playa Bocana for mud baths. Oscar is so knowledgeable of the area and clearly has a passion for welcoming visitors. We will absolutely book through him again when we come back!

Juan was super attentive and kind the whole time, he remembers the scenes perfectly to recreate them, he is very willing to help you record and take your souvenir photos, plus the explanations and the atmosphere he creates turn the experience into something unforgettable.

The coordinator Jared was very kind the entire tour and the tour guide Leo was very knowledgeable about Oaxacan culture.

Michelle was a wonderful guide. If you go, ask for her.

Jr is without a doubt, the best tour guide I’ve ever had. His extensive knowledge about all parts of the tour made the whole day incredibly engaging. One question would lead to a whole discussion and backstory, which gave way to even more questions and he could answer all of them. I left the tour knowing so much more about Oaxaca, and even Mexico as a whole. He is also incredibly accommodating. He let us stop for food, restroom, even took us back to a previous site to look for a hat that my partner and I had lost on the tour. He made the whole tour very comfortable and welcoming. Finally, Jr is just so FUN! We had a blast recreating scene from Nacho Libre. He has a very playful and lighthearted attitude that made the whole day more engaging. We laughed for the whole day :) Cannot recommend this tour enough!

Oscar provided a great tour. Highly recommend him. He makes sure you’re comfortable and knows his surroundings very well. He also provides photos of your experience so you don’t have to worry about carrying your phone with you. Wonderful experience!
