We were surfing for the first in our lives and by the end of the first lesson we were already able to ride some smaller waves! It was so much and the instructors were very helpful. (Ours was Angel)

This was such an amazing experience. I booked this for my kids (ages 19-10) when we were in Portugal this summer and it was AMAZING. My kids surf, but back home they surf in the Mediterranean Sea, which is a completely different experience from the Atlantic, and they had a blast even though the water was rough and the forecast was incredibly foggy. The surfing instructors were outstanding and very professional and really gave each of my kids (especially my little guy) so much attention and the beach they surfed on..WOW! Felt like you were on a different planet. HIGHLY recommend.

Duarte is a phenomenal coach who is passionate about all things surfing. He is totally engaged in everything he is saying, teaching and showing. In one day my wife and I went from basically 0 surf experience to riding dozens of waves, with a little help of course. What we learned in a few hours from Duarte has got us both hooked. We will keep surfing, keep learning, and we will for sure be back to the Algarves for more lessons with Neptunos Surf School!

Me and my daughter had private lessons with Duarte for the 4th time. The reason for it is very simple: he is the best 😊 Honestly - if you really want to learn surfing and if you want to improve you will get feedback on every wave you catch (or don’t catch 😉) and he will help you catching many waves in order to help you to build up routine. I would recommend Duarte strongly for both, absolute beginners and “professional beginners” 😊

Great surf camp. We stayed there as a family of four (all beginners). We benefited from excellent surf teachers (specifically the more experienced ones) who adjusted to adults and kids alike. Great food and nice experience sharing with the community of guests.

Such a fun and amazing experience. The instructors were so knowledgeable and made sure that we were being safe, they definitely eased any worries I was having about surfing for the first time. They learned our names, gave us corrections, and helped us to learn how to catch waves on our own. Such a fun time and was definitely something worth trying. 100% recommend!!

Booked direct all done via WhatsApp, excellent information and response. My grandkids 9 & 11 were desperate to have a lesson, I did a bit of research online and Filsurf seemed ideal. We were not disappointed from start to finish they had a brilliant time. They were the only two kids so practically had one on one lesson! We went to a beach we hadn’t been to, Praia da Cordoama, wow stunning landscape, Jurassic! They loved the surf lesson and learned some basics, staff are very professional, safety conscious and friendly, they know their stuff! The kids were buzzing afterwards, just loved the experience. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you Filsurf an experience they won’t forget!

We had a bit of a tough start to our excursion with some miscommunication. The company took responsibility for it and compensated us for their errors. The lesson itself was awesome. Our instructors, Ty and Barti, were fantastic. They were patient and broke the steps down well. They attended equally to everyone in the lesson and worked to make sure everyone was able to get up on the board, and then challenged those who got up easily. Our kids loved it and this was their favourite activity of the entire vacation!

Superb introduction to surfing, shout-out to Tyler who is very friendly and a great teacher. I rode my first wave and reached level 1. Would do it again!

I had a great experience with Algarve watersports! The Ubers around Lagos are a little tricky during high season and they answered my messages and waited for me to arrive. The beach they chose was a dream! The instructor was very patient and kind. Overall wonderful experience! 10/10 would recommend! I actually signed up to do it again!

This was our first surfing lesson, both for us and our children, and we truly cannot say enough positive things about this experience. We were a little nervous at first, but all of that disappeared as soon as we arrived and met our instructors. They took the time to thoroughly explain everything and made sure we felt comfortable and confident before getting in the water. There was plenty of practice on the beach, going over the techniques and movements, which made a huge difference. Since we were surfing with our children, ages 11, 13, and 15, we had two instructors for all five of us. They were incredibly patient and attentive, taking extra time with our kids to ensure they felt supported and had fun. It was very much appreciated. The water was cold, but the wetsuits they provided were perfect and kept us comfortable. The beach they recommended had ideal waves for beginners and could not have been a better setting for our first surfing experience. We would highly recommend this surf school to anyone—especially families looking to try surfing for the first time. It was one of the highlights of our trip and created memories we will never forget!

I’m really glad I found Algarve Watersport in Lagos! Highly recommended if you want to learn how to surf. The instructors Noemi — Surf Instructor and Bjorn and are professional, patient, and very supportive, which makes the whole experience fun and easy even for beginners. Great atmosphere and a perfect place to start surfing in the Algarve. 🌊🏄‍♂️🇵🇹
