Dolphin Route
Overview
The waters of the west coast are shelter and also the place of passage of different animals, such as sharks, turtles, seabirds, and mainly cetaceans (dolphins), with the “Bottlenose Dolphin” (Tursiops Truncatus) being the most sighted species. The latter dazzles any observer when he reaches an astonishing 4 meters in length and 45 years old and for some years now have been a regular presence in our waters. During this cruise you will have the opportunity to meet these fun and friendly animals, as well as marvel at the caves and rock formations that make the southern coast of Portugal one of the most beautiful in the world.
Note: This activity lasts 2 hours departing from Peniche Port with a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 14. The boat may reach 30 miles per hour.

What To Expect
The waters of the west coast are a shelter and also a place for the passage of different animals, such as sharks, turtles, sea birds, and especially cetaceans (dolphins), with the "Roaz Corvineiro" (Tursiops Truncatus) being the most seen species. The latter dazzles anyone. They reach an astonishing 4 meters in length and 45 years of age and have been a constant presence in our waters for some years now. During this cruise you will be able to come across these fun and friendly animals, as well as marvel at the caves and rock formations that make the south coast of Peniche, one of the most beautiful in the world.
Note: This tour has the following itinerary: Departure from the Port of Peniche with a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 14. Direction Meia Via (location between Cabo Carvoeiro and Berlenga), return towards Areia Branca beach.
This activity lasts between 1h30 and 3h00
The vessel can reach 30 miles / hour.

As an active member of the Dolphin SMART program, we do not have physical contact with the dolphins on Dolphin Route. We watch them in their natural habitat from the boat.
Dec 2022If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the tour local time (WET).
- This tour requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
