The night walk with Miguel was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. His stories were captivating, well researched and adapted to our interests. The walk was paced well and we enjoyed the evening atmosphere in the forest (which included many fireflies and the sounds of owls). Sintra itself was also beautiful and quiet at night.

Manuel, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and insightful during the tour. The trip was about 1:30 hours which was perfect. 10/10 would recommend if looking to learn more about the history of Sintra and Portugal in a fun capacity.

I went with some friends and it was spectacular! The photos do not jus to the beauty of the mountains at night, only even experiencing in first hand. We make several pauses where Miguel tells us the stories and legends related to the theme. He is great at catching our attention and tells his stories with a special charm, which lets us think about them for days! I will undoubtedly repeat and recommend everyone to try!

I recommend! Breaks in the right place and very interesting stories. The walk was very peaceful and the views were very privileged. The most challenging part of the path was the descent.

Fantastic walk with superb views especially of the Pena Palace. Miguel is a true story teller and knows how to captivate everyone's attention, with a deep knowledge of Portuguese history and all the myths and legends that embellish the entire experience. Definitely repeating!

Miguel provides you with a very nice night walk through Sintra's Hills, exploring the fantastic forest and cutting through the moon beams. He emphasizes something which I personally adore and believe, the importance of remaining silent and avoid the use of lanterns, so you can be more connected with the raw nature that surrounds you. He therefore gives you green light lanterns to enable night vision in the darkest pathways. He also stops along the way were people can rest whilst listen to his exciting historical Chronicles about the ancient Sintra. Loved it and truly recommend it.

I had never taken a night walk with Miguel and I didn't know him, but in some circumstance that I don't remember, a few years ago, the suggestive name planted a seed of one day being able to do it with O Caminheiro de Sintra. My intuition proved to be right: a serene professional, respectful of nature, dedicated to his companions, a teller of legends with exciting timbre, diction and intonation, making this the first of many walks together.

The fact that the walk is at night gives the experience that extra uplifting one might sometimes need when thinking about a 6km hike through the mountain… the stories cheer you up and make you forget about time or distance. The experience is magical and scenery just so very beautiful. The guide is very knowledgeable and keeps everyone safe. Will be coming back for more!

Caminheiro Sintra (Miguel) has the gift of transporting us through time and making us feel all the magic of the mountain, its stories, its legends... He is someone with a great knowledge of the history of Sintra and who has a big passion for what he does. I highly recommend any of their hikes.
