Top Queensland Hot Air Balloon Rides

My partner organised this as a surprise as I had never been up in one before. We both loved this experience- pick up was super easy and our driver, Brownie, was very entertaining. The weather was perfect and it was smooth skies the whole way with amazing views. I also love that you help pack up the balloon, and encourage a glass of bubbles for breakfast! 😋

It was raining at dawn, and I was worried, but I'm glad I was able to get on the balloon safely. It became an unforgettable memory.

My first-ever hot air ballooning experience was with Go Ballooning in August 2026. What an amazing experience it was!! From booking the flight with the lovely Micaela (Operations Manager), the early morning drive with our great driver Gary to the launch site, to the flight with our awesome pilot Murray, this was a fabulous five-star experience from start to end! Michaela, Gary, Jeremy (from the ground crew) and Murray are a very professional and friendly team, and they made the whole experience so smooth, safe, easy and unforgettable. Due to windy weather conditions on the day, the launch site was from Beaudesert in the Scenic Rim, so we did not fly over GC city & coast. However, the magical flight over the serene hinterland landscape and the glorious sunrise completely made up for this (ballooning over the city & coast next time!!). Driving up to Canungra with the full moon illuminating the sky, a brief stop to enjoy a cup of delicious hot chai tea and arriving at the launch site to see the beautiful red balloon inflated and ready to fly, was exciting! Murray explained the safety protocols and put us at ease, so I felt very comfortable as the flight began. The lift-off and flight were so smooth and gentle, and it was magical and surreal to float above the lovely landscape and watch the beautiful sunrise. Murry has a great sense of humour and tons of energy, and he kept us laughing and entertained throughout the flight by playing cheerful music and cracking jokes while providing a hilarious commentary and flying the balloon perfectly. Everyone was busy taking photos and videos and it felt like a party in the sky. The landing was easy and gentle, and we got to step inside the deflating balloon and take photos from a different angle. This was a bucket list item for me and the team at Go Ballooning made it a perfect, wonderfully memorable experience along with providing an incredible digital photo and video package of the flight. I highly recommend the balloon flight with Go Ballooning and many thanks to Michaela, Murray, Gary, Jeremy and the entire team for creating this magical experience :-) :-)

Was a great experience. Loved it.

From start to finish this one of the great experiences. At 79 and with a fear of heights I approached with trepidation. Sonya placed us in safe hands from the pickup. Our Pilot Darwal was phenomenal and our flight was both comfortable and extensive. you cannot believe how good it was. This is an experience not to be missed.

A fantastic trip! The views of the Great Dividing Range and the countryside were incredible!Graeme and his team are so professional and safety-conscious , their gear is immaculate. I would highly recommend Floating Images and will probably go again.

Their passion, enthusiasm, and genuine love for what they do shone through in every interaction and made the entire experience feel personal and memorable.A special shout-out to Jay, who went above and beyond throughout the day. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about the ballooning experience, but he also took the time to offer fantastic advice and recommendations on the local area, including places to visit and things to do during our stay. A wonderful experience! Frank was a great pilot and we learned a lot about hot air balloons and the area we flew over. And our guide Mike was excellent...we learned a lot about the area, had a nice breakfast and had great conversation too.

What an amazing experience!! I have always wanted to go hot air ballooning since I was a child and yesterday that dream finally came true. Booked for my Birthday weekend, unfortunately I was cancelled due to rain however we rescheduled it to this past weekend and boy was it worth the wait. Chris our pilot was great too and certainly made the flight smooth and informative the entire time. We were a bit anxious in the beginning but it was probably one of the best experiences I have ever done. Take off and landing we seamless. The breakfast was delicious too and a nice treat afterwards. Thank you so much Balloon Aloft - I have already recommended you to others.
