Top Madeira Scuba Diving

I had my first diving experience on 08/25. Okay, I was a bit lucky! The diving course normally consists of a group of four people and one diving instructor. However, I was the only one on that day. The course was not postponed or canceled, but carried out as agreed. After an intensive briefing on the function of the equipment and communication underwater, we then went into the pool for the first test run. After that, we went straight into the sea. The diving instructor "Scotch" was always attentive and noticed immediately when some help was needed. He also checked in regularly to see if everything was okay with me. My first dive therefore became a complete success and a mega experience. Definitely recommended!!!

Guide was great at explaining everything in great detail in short theory session before we completed some pool training to build confidence. I’ve done beginners diving a few times before and never has the initial training part been so well delivered.The dive itself was superb for a beginners dive and was extremely well supervised to the point every diver could have been struggling simultaneously I have no doubt they had it covered.You won’t see anything too exciting as the dive itself is understandably just from the hotel ocean access, but no better way to learn and build confidence with Scuba Diving.

She told us she is from Porto.She was such a warm, friendly and patient person and took wonderful care of all of us throughout the whole experience. While we were snorkeling, she took photos and videos of everyone. The pictures, and especially the videos, turned out absolutely beautiful! 🤿📸What impressed me most was that she repeatedly dived underwater to capture these amazing moments for us. The videos are truly fantastic and will give us wonderful memories of this special day.A big thank you to our lovely, kind and very attractive guide for making our day so special! 🌊🐠💙

The instructor was super professional, friendly and made us feel safe from the first moment. The diving was simply spectacular, with beautiful underwater landscapes and an unforgettable experience. The equipment was in excellent condition and explained everything with a lot of calm and attention.I recommend 100% for both beginners and those who already have experience. This was my first experience diving and it was amazing. I had the opportunity to do it in Madeira with my boyfriend and we left wanting to repeat it. The instructors are very friendly and professional, I definitely recommend Scorpio Madeira Diving Center, I hope to come back very soon!

I recently did my 3 day open water PADI qualification in Funchal with Maria.Maria and all the staff were lovely and supportive.When I started my PADI I was nervous and I had only dived once before, but Maria was able to talk me through what we were doing on each dive putting me at ease.We spent some time on each skill in the pool before each dive and everything was well paced and nothing was rushed.The price included all equipment as well as all the materials and the exam. You can see where you’re learning the skills in the theory as you go along.I’m looking forward to coming back next year to hopefully get my wreck diving licence 🙂.

I can only recommend this dive center, very nice, friendly and competent. My friend also did her first taster diving course here and decided to do her OWD on her next vacation. Prices are great Rental equipment is in top condition Everything clean There is ample space to store private equipment.

Together with our daughter we participated in three dives from and with the diving school/base "Madeira Divepoint" during our holiday in Madeira. We were welcomed from the first minute absolutely friendly and courteous by a professional and always good-humoured team who speaks Portuguese, German, English, French... All were at all times concerned that the guests feel comfortable, answered all questions patiently, inquired about the well-being etc. Before each dive, a comprehensive briefing was conducted, during which the dive was discussed in detail, the hand signals explained again, the procedure for entry and exit was explained, etc. Personal sensitivities (diving anxiety) were also addressed professionally and appreciatively and an additional dive guide was provided. The dive spots we visited (Carlton House Reef, Garajao, Wreck Afonso) were fantastic. Don't be put off by the fact that the diving school is not signposted. Access to Madeira Divepoint is provided by Hotel Carlton. The staff there are happy to help on request and describe the way (once through the foyer, with the elevator down to the pool and with another elevator down to the Atlantic pool, where the diving school is also located). We can really recommend the diving school without restriction! Thank you for the great time with you!

Had an amazing introduction to scuba session today with Azul Diving. All the staff are brilliant especially Hernan and Jessi. My 14 year old daughter was a bit nervous but Hernan was great with her and we all had an amazing time in the ocean.

A top place to go if you would like to try diving with children. It is explained super well, in a family-like environment and small groups. After that, a trial in the pool and if it goes well, off to the Atlantic. The junior had a mega time and now naturally wants to go diving again and again. Super thanks again to Tamara for the extra diving round with mega cool experiences. Anyone who has gotten a taste for it can of course also get their diving certifications there. Super happy to have come to do my introductory dive at this club! The whole team was wonderful. Even though I am French and I speak neither English, nor Portuguese, nor Spanish, I still managed to make myself understood, and the instructors were able to communicate with me without difficulty. I had already done another dive on the island, but the experience had been quite chaotic. This time, everything went perfectly and I am delighted with this morning. I will return with great pleasure to go discover the shipwreck. A big thank you to the whole team for your welcome, your professionalism and your good humor!

It was an absolutely unforgettable experience! It was my first time diving and, at the same time, my first trip alone, so I was naturally a little nervous. However, from the first moment I felt completely safe and well accompanied.The guides were simply incredible: very professional, patient, friendly and always attentive to ensure you were enjoying every moment. They explained everything calmly and gave a lot of confidence.During the dive we saw immense marine life: small fish of various colors, dwarfs, sea-crabs and other fascinating species. It was a magical moment! Moreover, they took fantastic photographs that will allow me to remember this experience forever.Couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the world of diving. I recommend this experience to anyone, especially those who will dive for the first time. It was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my trip and I can’t wait to dive again!
