The Arktis Ice Breaker Cruise is a one of a kind experience. You can have an all in one experiences in one trip with the professional guides and crews. Enjoyed the Ice floating, Sauna and the cozy hot tub while in the middle of the amazing views. It is a 10/10 experience.

A very nice experience of being on an ice breaking ship, touring the bridge, and getting in the icy waters in the survival suit for a short period of time. Lunch was included on ship and it was plentiful and delicious. There is a bar to get drinks too. After your plunge, you are treated to a taste of certain liquors/gin/vodka in an ice shot glass. When the ship stopped in/on the ice, you could go outside and take pictures, play cornhole, push a sled, etc for a bit of time.

Beautiful experience and breathtaking views! Unforgettable swimming in the ice at -25 degrees during a sunny day. Everything was perfectly organized, the guide super helpful and even the food amazed me, good and plentiful for everyone! Nice idea to award a diploma to everyone!

Everyone must do this once in a lifetime.It was my first experinece of travelling to this kind of remote location But I enjoyed every second of my life there.

Beautiful experience on icebreaker. A tour of the ship is made (commander's room, radar, electrical app., engines). Stop on the pack where you can walk, and bathe with thermal suits in the Arctic sea. Beautiful landscape.

A must do activity ! It is an awesome experience to be traveling through ice on this 1960 ship that you can extensively visit during the cruise. Ice floating was relaxing and a very unique thing to do.

Fabulous experience l, right from pick up to drop off smooth journey, guided tour of the cruise, lunch, snacks, everything was amazing. The craziest and safe experience of walking on the sea and ice floating. Must must try .. so peaceful in the middle of nowhere.

Overall, this experience was worthwhile. It was something to be up in the Arctic on an icebreaker. It started off on the rocky side, however. One we arrived at the terminal, we were kept waiting for nearly an hour to give us time to shop. We were not interested in the tourist tchotchkes. A few minutes would have been plenty, especially since it took several hours by bus to get there. Lunch was included, and considering they were serving a large group, it was pretty good. A highlight was being able to get out and walk on the frozen Baltic Sea. If you wanted to, you could also sign up for a dip in the water wearing the provided protective gear. Participants were monitored closely for safety.

I had already had this experience in 1991 and remarkably since then nothing has changed in the organization of the cruise. Punctual and well organized also the transfer by coach from the hotel. Instead, the ice castle has changed, which at the time was much more impressive and located in an area closer to the boarding. Now it's a bit disappointing and the ice sculptures are in a covered and refrigerated area inside the building from which you leave for the cruise. They confirmed to me that they have reduced everything because of the costs and because in any case from other parts of the world there are similar constructions. So it's time to stop saying it's the greatest ice construction, because it's not like that anymore. As far as shipping is concerned, I have been confirmed that at present the ship can only travel pre-established corridors for technical reasons, as the depth of the sea has decreased over the years and would risk reaching the bottom. The experience is still very nice, however, and even floating disguised as a conduit is fun.

A must do! The icebreaker is so cool! This is a bucket list item that you have to do! The staff are so friendly and helpful. The ice floating was so amazing, even with some weather issues they made it perfect!!!

Took a 4-hour cruise on the Sampo into the frozen Gulf of Bothnia. Got a tour of the ship and had some snacks and hot drinks while we cruised through the ice. My favorite part of the excursion was when the ship anchored and we got out to walk around on the ice and take turns floating in the icy waters wearing dry suits. It was truly an unforgettable experience!

My husband and I had a great time on the Sampo Icebreaker! The check-in had a small queue, and we also wait abit for the bus to the ship, but it was okay. This was really a special experience because in Switzerland, our lakes dont freeze like this. The restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good, but it can be abit better. Our guide Jesper was really great, she speak perfect English and know a lot about everything. We like her a lot.The ice floating was exciting! In the beginning, the suit was little bit tight, but our guide explain everything very well, so we know exactly what to do. It was easy to follow, but still some people dont understand. Some was splashing and shouting, which was abit too much, but otherwise it was fun. Mario the Italian and the other crew was also very nice, what they do is really hard work!Unfortunatly, there was no photographer, but we take some nice pictures with the friends we made in our group. Very nice experience and we recommend!

Let's be clear: if you are willing to spend 360€ on an icebreaker excursion you are aware that you are having a unique experience, however it goes. In our case, 13.1.2025 we took a day of “crazy” weather but the ship left, cracked ice up to 50 cm and came out about ten km from the coast. Interesting ship tour, hearty lunch and decent quality. The group organization of the ship is well done. EXCITING water immersion, ice walking experience km from the shore, SPECTACULAR!! TIPS: the trip does not include photos in the water so if you want to be photographed find friends or someone from previous groups (you can take an “insta 360 or gopro” if firmly on your arm). To put on the neoprene suit you will have to remove waterproof suits, shoes and jackets, so ideal that you put thermals for legs and bust. The most disappointing thing was the ice castel (and ice Experience) of Kemi: given those of Kiruna (Sweden) and Killia (Finland) this is really scarce! Strong point: the experience as a whole in my opinion once in a lifetime is to be done To be improved: for the required amount they could organize a photographer who will immortalize you when you go down and dive (putting downloadable online photos)! I also advise against the “toast with a glass of ice” - 15€ each spent badly.
