Top Lapland Horseback Riding

Book👏this👏experience! We cannot recommend them enough! No matter what activity you are considering doing. It is thee most authentic experience we have had in another country. Päivi is an absolute GEM of a human being, along with her Samī husband. They took such great care of us and have hired a team of likeminded people to do the same.We came for the three day Horseriding in the summer and got that and so much more. Commuting via bike ride to and from the cabins. Cooking every meal with food grown on their farm, served by a fire. Enjoying a sauna every night before bed. We even got to try the dog sledding and feed their reindeer. You become a part of the farm, with your every need taken care of. Just fly to Kitilla and they will even pick you up from the airport themselves. The horseriding was different locations and experiences everyday. From picking up the horses from the front garden of a local art gallery and riding them home, to navigating the forests to find a spot to make lunch in the wild, each day took us on a new and exciting journey. We even got lessons in their arena to work on our newfound skills. Netta and Jenni gave us something to be excited about, improve on and feel safe. They are fantastic riders who love the lifestyle and want to share it with you too.We are leaving here with high spirits and full hearts and bellies!

Finally a real riding tour for advanced riders!:) I was lucky enough and was the only rider, so the ride and the pace was individually adapted to my skill level. It was a really great ride with a good Finn horse. Tours are offered from 1 person, which is a great advantage over other providers. I was very satisfied and can only recommend Polar Lights Tours.

We showed up early to the stables, but the owner and workers were very helpful and talkative, they gave us a lot of information on the horses and just had an enjoyable time talking with us about their horses and what they do there.

Such an incredible experience! A magical horse ride through the snowy forest. A lovely family run business who were all so helpful and friendly, despite us being 15 mins late. My 6 year old daughter had some last minute nerves and decided she didn't want to do it but the staff was so reassuring and encouraging and she ended up loving it (as I knew she would). The Glogg and toasting marshmallows & gingerbread cookies in their kota was a perfect way to end the activity! We will definitely do it again if we come back!

Just an incredible way to spend an hour and a bit - we rode through beautiful snowy forest and then returned with time to take photos with the horses and warm drinks and marshmallows in a hut - a must do and our seven year old thought it was fantastic. Note of caution - it’s at least a 10min walk from the main SCV area so build that in

What a wonderful experience! This was a gift to my father for his 70th birthday, as having a horse-drawn sleigh ride in the snow was on his bucket list, and he had the time of his life! The organisers are a wonderful, friendly and engaging family. I would highly recommend them, and would go back!

Really lovely experience and really friendly staff i enjoyed this experience allot thankyou! It was very special with the snow scenery

Such an amazing experience, the tour guide was so lovely. The ride itself was beautiful in the forest perfect in every weather condition. Ended with a lovely fire and snacks would definitely recommend to everyone

Absolutely amazing experience would highly recommend our family of four had an amazing time lovely family run business

We turned up having not pre booked as we had other activities booked at SCV and didn’t know if we would have time. We were greeted and told to wait a short while and then we could go out riding! We didn’t expect to be able to go so soon, so this was great! We were able to look at the horses in the fields and wait inside the office. The horses were all well cared for. Our guide asked if we had experience and catered to our experience. We ended up being the only couple so this was lovely. It was pretty riding through the snowy woodland. The Finnhorses were wonderfully safe, never spooked at a thing. Knew their job but had some go in them. It was enjoyable but ensure you bring gloves as it gets chilly!

Beautiful and magical ride through the snow-capped trees of Lapland. Just the right length for the cold weather and to keep my children happy. Friendly, helpful people. Finished the ride with a hut warmed by a fire, marshmallows and watm drinks.

Beautiful experience, the horses accompanied us on a walk in the forest. Super recommended experience. I would have liked the walk to last an entire hour, instead about 20 minutes were used for the (useful) explanation of the main maneuvers on horseback and to dress in heavier clothing provided by the staff. Staff very friendly and welcoming. In general we are very satisfied with the experience!

Getting the chance to ride beautiful Finnish horses in the forest was amazing. Our guide was lovely and knowledgeable. We got to taste some Lingon berries and blue berries growing wild in the forest and stop for juice and cookies afterwards. We took the beginners ride as some in the group had not ridden much before and it was gentle and we were well looked after. I was then taken for a faster ride afterwards which I was not expecting which was a real treat. One of our trip highlights - thank you Polar Tours

This experience was pure magic! The lady who ran the tour was so lovely and kind and the snacks, warm drinks and chatting at the end of the ride was certainly a highlight of our entire trip! The horses are so well cared for which we loved to see and all had their own unique personalities! Can’t recommend this enough. ❤️

This is a fun activity right next to Santa Claus Village. The horses were great - staff was super nice and the trail ride through the snowy woods was beautiful.

A past enjoy the landscape on horseback, the girls who take it very patient with the boys and do great. Repeat.
