Wonderful ‘Evening’ in Rovaniemi
We had a great time with Chris our tour guide on this outing. We pushed the start time from 20:00 to 21:00 due to the wind and that was the right decision. Chris drove us to the river where he shared the basics on how to canoe and then we headed out. We canoed for about 8km in total and stopped along the way for some blueberry juice and bakery treats. The sunset was beautiful and Chris took pictures that he shared at the end. While the mosquitoes were not too bad, I regretted not applying bug spray before departing. Great tour and experience.

This was an incredible day! First and foremost, our guide was exceptionally kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. From the moment we met her, we felt completely comfortable and knew we were in good hands.The reindeer farm was an absolute highlight for our family. We got to see baby reindeer and even enter the enclosures to feed the male reindeer some of their favorite treats. I was amazed by how gentle and calm these beautiful animals were. We never felt rushed and were given plenty of time to enjoy the experience at our own pace.The farm host was also wonderful. She shared fascinating information about reindeer, their role on the farm, and life in Finland. While we enjoyed hot beverages and cookies, she showed us antlers and answered our questions, making the visit both educational and enjoyable.After the farm visit, our guide took us to a beautiful lake for a canoeing adventure. We paddled around the stunning scenery for about an hour. While I would have happily spent a little more time on the water, it was a lovely experience. Once again, we never felt rushed, and our guide allowed our family to set the pace throughout the excursion.This tour was the perfect combination of nature, culture, and adventure. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Finland!

A peaceful Autumn morning paddle. Great stuff.
Nordic Odyssey were great in giving us some flexibility due to weather challenges it was going to be a little breezy. We wanted to go so they adapted the time to fit the predictions. It was a great decision. Pierre our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was patient and relaxed. We’re in our late 50’s with little canoeing experience but we loved being on the water, in the peace and quiet. There was birdlife, some interesting narrow passages and the autumn colours were amazing. Pierre provided some pastries and a welcome warm beery drink. Thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it highly.

Friendly guides, relaxing tour and beautiful view
The guides are experimented, friendly and put at ease even the most novice. They switch between French and English with ease to make sure everyone has fun and learns something. My father doesn't speak English too well, so he was happy to be able to chat with the guides and to ask questions easily and thus to fully enjoy the outing. The tour along the river (done in summer) allows to see beautiful scenes of nature in a relaxing way. The tour was easy for beginners and still enjoyable for more experienced people.

Great experience: Canoeing around lake under midnight sun with nice views. In the end swimming in the lake and grilling sausages. Special thanks to our tour guide who was informative but kept proper distance during canoeing so that you felt like being alone in the lake.

I had a fantastic time taking the cultural canoe trip with wild about lapland. The experience was both educational and insightful done by knowledgeable guides. we were beginners but we all felt safe since guides were attetive and engaging in safety precautions. On the way to the Heritage musium down on the river, we learnt about history of Rovaniemi. We also saw some reindeer at the beach! Heritage musium was full of historical information and the sight was just breath taking. it gives the sense of being at old country side and if you like photography, definately worth a visit! Great scenery from the begining to the end. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes to learn about history and experience outdoor activity.

Stunning Midnight Sun Canoe Trip
100% loved this experience!! Highly recommended. Our Midnight Sun canoe trip with Chris from Nordic Odyssey was an absolute highlight of our time in Rovaniemi and of our whole trip in the Nordics. Chris is an amazing guide. His knowledge of the Arctic landscape, passion for nature, culture and thoughtful answers to our questions really bought the surroundings to life. Your level of experience is no problem for this trip. Chris made sure the experience was tailored to our abilities providing the perfect blend of adventure and enjoyment of the surroundings. The Finish inspired snack and drink were also much appreciated.We would highly recommend this magical experience to anyone visiting the region. It's an amazing way to see the beautiful Arctic landscape and midnight sun from a new and unforgettable perspective. Thankyou so much Chris.
