This tour takes you to a completely different side of El Yunque, not the usual tourist way. You can leave your stuff in the car, everything you bring with you will get wet! If you plan to bring a phone, get waterproof case, but guides take great pix and videos for you, so you don’t need a phone. It’s a beautiful hike and a variety of water activities. Our guide, Javier (and Jr), were great, knew their stuff, made sure we had a fantastic experience and kept us safe at all times. Def would recommend this tour!

It was wonderful having a private driver. We saw San Juan and stopped at amazing local artist at outdoor vendor booths. Ray took us by the beach and a great outdoor spot with delicious food vendors and great Pina Colada's!!!!

This was a great experience. Be prepared to climb on slippery rocks, but well worth it. Javier was an excellent guide!

This is a great place to see both the nature and the city life of Puerto Rico! The tour is very flexible, informative, and friendly! Angel and Annie are the best! It’s like having an local friend tour you around!

Dj and Alan were awesome. We did the private el gunnies forest waterfall tour with a family of four, a family of two, and grandparents. Everyone had a fantastic time.

I highly recommend this private tour. Communication with our guide Misael started the day before. He picked us up from our VRBO and gave us some good info about what to bring with us (like shoes that can get wet and muddy). Ultimately we took very little with us on the hike to the water, so it would be helpful if the instructions on the website were more specific (I wore my sneakers and would have preferred to wear my water shoes - a picture of a recommended style would be helpful). We had assumed we could bring some items on the hike, but it really isn't practical because of the need to use your hands at times during the hike. It is a beautiful place, some spots are more challenging than other, but I was able to do it all. I'm just over 5 feet tall so some spots were a stretch for me to climb up or down, but Miseal was there to spot me and was always encouraging of my efforts. Be prepared for lots of rock climbing. The water slides are fun, the cliff jump offer 3 heights to pick from, and the rope swing can be funny for the crowd to watch. Check your helmets to be sure they fit well before starting. Mine stayed on ok, but was too loose and sometimes blocked my ability to see ahead of me. Not dangerous, just annoying.

My family and I went on this private tour with Javier recently. I myself had been to Old San Juan as a child. However, this was my husband and sons first visit. Javier personally reached out to us prior to the tour, and when he did, I made sure to let him know my son was a young child (age 6), and my husband, who is a natural redhead with very fair skin, was extra heat sensitive since it was during the month of July. Javier replied back that he was happy to accommodate and adjust to our specific needs.During the tour, which lasted 4 hours total, he took us to walk around and personally guided us through the San Cristobal Fort, and the Old San Juan Catedral Basilica Menor de San Juan Bautista.While driving throughout Old San Juan, he made sure to highlight the most important areas, and also made a personalized stop due to our interest in trying piraguas (local Puerto Rican snow cones/shaved ice). When we drove by the cat sanctuary, because we expressed an interest in taking time to pet all of the Puerto Rican cats that gathered there, he said it was no problem to take the time to do so and waited patiently.In all honesty, I have been on many different private tours in my years of travel, and none of them even compare/stand out, or come close to the level of professionalism we experienced with Javier on the Old San Juan tour.In general, my husband is an extremely hard sell on things, and even he left with rave reviews, which blew my mind. I honestly expected my son, who is 6 years old, to tire halfway through the tour, but Javier found ways to keep him engaged throughout the whole 5 hour tour.He beautifully accommodated the need for us to balance walking with driving due to my husband's extra heat sensitivity, making sure to ask along the way if we would like to get out at certain stops, or would rather stay in his very well air conditioned van, driving by important highlights instead.In the end, we all left with a sense of fulfillment, catering to our own needs and interests. I even reached out to my families travel agent of many years to make sure she put Javier and his tour on the top of her list to recommend to anyone and everyone of her clients that were traveling to Puerto Rico in the future as a must do excursion and tour. This is a must do! Ryan was our tour guide and was great! He made it fun and it was clear he knew the area. He gave us specific tips on where to walk, what to avoid and how to go down the slide safely. The walk to the waterfalls was short and easy. There were large groups out at the waterfalls but Ryan made sure we had a good time. He was so friendly and helpful to others as well which was reassuring. Even if you don’t go down the slides, observing the natural beauty and getting in the water is a must.

We had such an incredible private hike through El Yunque followed by kayaking to the bioluminescent bay in Laguna Grande. Bespoke Lifestyle Management was easy to work with and understanding when we had some changes and questions. Adriana is the BEST GUIDE EVER - we all loved her and she took such great care of us. We truly felt like familia. She made the experience so special and we can't thank her enough. Thank you Adriana!!!!

The guide was very helpful with gibing support for elder members of the group. He was good at his english and communicated instructions well.Although he had a big waterproof bag with him on the hike and throwing into the water while diving, he refused to keep my phone in it just for a moment of one dive. If he had hold the mobile in his bag, I would have not missed the dive into the pool.

I cannot say enough amazing things about our private El Yunque tour with Tours Hacker and our guide, Javier. This was hands down one of the BEST experiences of our entire vacation and a day our family will never forget!We did it ALL — waterfalls, natural water slides, rope swings, beautiful scenery, and so many fun adventures along the way. Michael was such an excellent and interesting guide, I am very glad that we booked with them. He clearly cares deeply about the rainforest and the experience of his guests - I am happy we were able to see this beautiful environment through his eyes. This park can get crowded, and after an initial rounding of the corner and seeing so many people we were initially hit with ‘what have we done’ - as this is the experience we were not after. But Michael graciously navigated us through and we quickly forgot and almost appreciated the others around us. It’s clear that all the other guides knew and respected him and we couldn’t have selected a better guide. The private tour here is the best choice.
