Loved the chance to learn from our guide about the geology and history of this lava field and of the cave. A great thing to do when the weather outside was windy and rainy! We hadn't done any such kind of tour on previous travels and are glad we took the time for this tour. Beautiful area and surrounding waterfalls are stunning!

Our South Coast and waterfall tour with Richie and Bjossi was easily one of the highlights of our entire trip to Iceland.From the very beginning, they made the day fun, relaxed, and memorable. Both were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining, and you could tell they genuinely wanted everyone to have a great experience. They shared interesting stories and information about Iceland throughout the day while also giving us plenty of time to take in the incredible scenery and enjoy each stop.The waterfalls and views were absolutely breathtaking, but Richie and Bjossi made the experience even better with their humor, hospitality, and great personalities. We never felt rushed, and the entire tour felt well organized and enjoyable.If you’re visiting Iceland and considering a South Coast tour, do it — and if you’re lucky enough to have Richie and Bjossi as your guides, you’re in for a fantastic day. What an experience! We did the tour with Marcelo. He was such a great guide. We were a group of 6 people and had to wait some time before we could go into the water, he used this time to explain a lot of things to us so the time waiting went by very fast. The water itself was cristal clear and at the beginning cold in the face and at the hands, but you get used to it. It was so nice to snorkel there, we didn't feel rushed and the people took care that everyone had it's space. Marcelo also explained a lot during the tour and took some nice pictures from all of us. At the end of the tour we even had some time to explore on our own, before we got out of the water and had some hot chocolate and a chocolate bar. Would highly recommend the tour. Thanks for everything!

Becyase this depends on nature, this is a bit of a pot luck option, but they know what they are doing and have spotters checking the horizon. In the end we say a pair of hump back whales. The trip out into the bay was also really good.

Igla was our guide. She is perfect for this role: friendly, thoughtful, careful, curious, interesting. She made sure we all could handle the trek. Gave us tips to make the crampons work on the glacier, showed us many moulons and took pictures of all of us when we asked. I would recommend Igla and this company for the glacier hike. The highlight of our trip, and an outing we’ll talk about for a long time!

Ella and Pawel did an awesome job! They were incredibly helpful and made the trip a great experience. I would definitely recommend this tour. My only suggestion would be to give a clearer warning about the sneaker waves at the black sand beach. Even in the area that isn’t considered the danger zone, your feet can still get soaked while walking toward the basalt cave on the left side of the beach.

A beautiful relaxing tour of the beach on horseback.
This is a great way to see the beach and enjoy being on an Icelandic Horse for an hour. The horses are well-behaved and well-cared for, and the guides are friendly and knowledgeable. We stopped on the beach and they took pictures for everyone. I've read reviews complaining about the fact that you only walk. We have found this not to be true. There were three guides, in case some wanted to go faster (just for a few minutes, but we still got the experience of "tolting"), and other people wanted to stay back and go slower. If you are looking for a fast-paced long ride, find a private tour. I am an experienced rider and knew what the expectations were ahead of time, and was not disappointed. One other complaint I saw was that if you're late they do not wait for you. This is true. You need to get there 15 mintues early at a minimum to prepare. We left promptly at the top of the hour. If people are late, they are holding people up and they don't have the time for fitting a helmet and important instructions. I highly recommend Vik Horse Tour for a nice relaxing ride on the beautiful black sand beach.

My husband and I had a great morning whale watching boat tour. The boat was comfortable with several options of places to sit, both indoors and outside. The Biologist on board gave great background on the animals in the harbor and was expert at spotting them. She also took photos which were shared with the travelers if they desired. Snacks and drinks available on board and the crew members were helpful. We saw a humpback, Minke whales and sea birds on our journey. Wind/water proof overalls are available on loan in many sizes if needed for warmth. I highly recommend this fun adventure.

AMAZING! We did a private tour and so glad we did. With the private tour I feel like we had such a unique experience. We were able to go all the way in the caves and were educated on the changing environment. If you are thinking of doing a private tour I highly recommend it vs a group tour. Davis was our guide and he was fantastic.

Fascinating tour with several whale sightings. Our group was relatively small which gave us plenty of space on board to move to different areas. Even on our way back we stopped a few times to watch more whales. And we had a beautiful sunset.
