Iceland Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

We had a great time! Our guide Day was fabulous. Every stop was great food and a fun story or fact about Iceland. It was everything you want in a food tour and then some. Day’s love of Iceland shined through and was contagious. We loved the tour and felt lucky to have such a great guide!!

What an experience Very friendly staff, very nice 4 D shows as if you are seeing everything in real life I did it after touring for a week in the beautiful Iceland and it was a perfect end of my trip

We had the BEST possible time on our 3 hour food tour! Hilda is an exceptional host and guide and created an exciting and active environment that surpassed all expectations. Her knowledge of Iceland is something to behold & aligns perfectly with the traditional dishes we enjoy.

Our tour guide Hershey was full of great info, and he taught us some basic Icelandic. The scenery was beautiful. Our favorite was the crater lake.

This was our favourite activity in Iceland. The guide was awesome, gave a decent amount of information on the glacier, stopped a few times on our ride up to the glacier so we could take pictures of the scenery and a reindeer. Our whole group had never been snowmobiling before so the guide was great with checking in on us throughout the activity and taking pictures of us. Even let us swap drivers at the halfway point. Definitely recommend and will be back again.

Wow! What a cool experience! I had a smile on my face throughout the 9 min ride up out over Reykjavík across the volcano erupting and back again. Only stumbled across this on our last evening in Iceland as it’s inside the Harpa concert hall which is a fabulous building. It’s on the lower ground floor.

Neil, our guide throughout the experience, showed a deep understanding of geology, and is a fount of knowledge on all aspects of lava. Clear detailed explanations of physical changes in lava as it cooled in front of our eyes. Displayed great empathy with his audience as he offered clear and humorous responses to questions.

Will totally choose Cool Destinations and go to Blue Lagoon again. Spectacular experience and beautiful food.

Fantastic museum - a must for anyone visiting Iceland. The Volcano experience was amazing and so 3D (the rumbling seats and moving visuals are outstanding) and the ice caves and auroras fab as well.

Beautiful experience at the Blue Lagoon. Trick is to go early before the hoards arrive. It was overcast and crappy out, but the lagoon is lovely, large, feels good, nice and warm with hot spots, quiet area, swim up bar... changing room and check in process is quick and smooth. They give you a towel and locker. Its well thought through. The cafe was so so and the main resto is pricey. Was early to parked near the entrance. I was looking forward to this and it did not dissapoint. I took my go pro with me and it was not an issue. I don't drink and appreciated the non-alch beer though other spa's in iceland had the non alch sparkling wine too.

Lorenzo, our incredible instructor, made the glacier tour an unforgettable experience. He provided fascinating insights into the glacier’s history, and it was truly awe-inspiring to witness its grandeur before it might disappear.The price was undoubtedly worth it.We had a bit of a time overrun, but I was still thoroughly satisfied with the duration of the tour.The crowd size and atmosphere were perfect, creating an ideal setting for an immersive experience.This tour is a must-do for anyone seeking an extraordinary adventure!

Very knowledgeable. Happy to share his wisdom. Explained all the different aspects of finding northern lights. He was able to find a break in the clouds, and we got to see them!

While part of it is luck, our guide Siggi had so much knowledge about the Northern Lights that we saw quite a show within an hour. Once the activity slowed down a little, he informed us that it wouldn’t be higher for at least a hour, so we all agreed that we saw what we came for and were in bed early. What an incredible tour!! I highly recommend if you come in the season!

We had a fantastic ride with our guide Laura. She was extremely friendly & courteous and even packed a nice snack lunch for us - she has loved and cared for horses her whole life. Tow tour options are available. One exploring the surrounding valley and a more experienced once that goes deeper & much higher into the valley and allows you bathe in the natural hot springs. We really enjoyed our ride wand would absolutely do this again and thoroughly recommend this company.

Fabulous experience! The tour took about 45 to 50 minutes, it was safe and super interesting. Our guide, Maya, was excellent - friendly, humourous and gave lots of information. A very worthwhile tour.
