Top French Polynesia Jetpacks

This was a trip! We were not sure what to expect. We had friends do the scooters a couple weeks prior to our arrival. They told us we absolutely had to do this. We are so glad we booked it! Navone (probably spelling it wrong) picked us up at our resort on time. We had a speedy trip to the location on the other side. When we arrived we met the diver Charles (sp?). They went over everything in depth. My husband and I chose to ride together on one scooter and I glad we did because we got to enjoy everything together. I thought we were going to be connected to scuba tanks but we were not. The way the scooters are designed they create a large air pocket as they are lowered straight down. They have oxygen continuously flowing into that air pocket, but you are free to move around. Clearly I did not pay enough attention in physics class to understand how it worked-lol. As soon as we were lowered into the water we were swarmed by fish! My husband thought they were attracted to the air bubbles but there was a little bag of fish food (bananas) attached to the side of the scooter that they were attracted to! I did get a little freaked out when some of this fish jumped up near my face. We were down for about 30min seeing lots of fish, sea urchins and other marine life. They took tons of pictures and video, but we will have to wait until we get home to see them because we don’t have anything to connect to the thumb drive we purchased from them. They had fresh towels, water and juice, and some snacks when we came back up. It was another speedy boat ride back to our resort. We thought it was the perfect amount of time for us. They do lots of other activities like regular scuba dives, and dives with the astronaut helmet looking things (more like snuba). They also do whale watches starting in September I think. Definitely book it!!

Super fun. The guides were friendly and professional. They were patient with my wife's crippling fear of the open ocean & sharks and made her 1st journey underwater extra safe, fun and memorable. She was smiling from ear-to-ear once we submerged.The equipment was super easy to use. The marine life was beautiful. And you can't beat that impossibly-blue water of Bora Bora!

Our underwater scooter experience was awesome- worth every penny. The two guides for us were fun, helpful, and very entertaining. My wife and I aren’t divers (I have epilepsy, so it’s not possible), but this scooter adventure was as close as you can get. We saw lots of different fish all around us. The view is crystal clear and so much more than a mask. The scooter is fun to control- we got two so my wife had her own. Also definitely worth every penny. It’s the activity we’ll remember the most from our wonderful Bora Bora trip!

Great experience! Remy was a great guide and made everyone feel comfortable. For those who think it is scary, I promise it is not at all. The fish were so colorful and feeding them was an amazing once in a life time memory we will cherish. I got amazing videos on my go pro too❣️

It was a trip we tried to book quite a while back but it was full. We were placed on a reserve list (3rd on list). Whilst on our cruise we were informed another slot was available for 3 couples. Was very happy about that! Taken out in a launch to the bikes which are on a floating pontoon. You get on your scooter and lowered into the sea. Each scooter holds 2 people. The one in the front drives the machine and the one behind is the passenger (me in this case). You will get wet right up to your shoulders but your head stays in the enclosed bubble and stays dry. You go to a depth of about 10 feet and off you go following the diver. To me it felt a unique way of travelling underwater and certainly a first for us. The number of fish and their colourings are truly amazing. They mainly come around you as they know they are going to be fed! To feed the fish you have to reach down and out of the scooter canopy which is not the easiest. You each get to hold a starfish and a sea cucumber. I did net realise how heavy they are. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Bora Bora. The reason why I have given this a 4 and not a 5 is that I preferred the underwater walk on Moorea Island as you have more interaction with the sea life. However it is still an amazing trip.

We signed for the Aqua Bike (Underwater Scooter) adventure while on a cruise of French Polynesia, in Bora Bora. I confess I was a bit anxious about doing a submersible. It was a blast! Our guide, Ben Remi, was outstanding! His knowledge base and clear instructions helped to alleviate my anxiety. He along with his captain, accompanied us underwater- only down about 10 feet. They guided us along the reef, saw tons of fish. It was like being in an aquarium! Highly recommend, especially if you can have Ben as your guide!!

This excursion is one of the best I’ve ever taken! The scooter was safe and secure. Two divers went down with us and guided us to see many beautiful ocean sites. I would recommend to everyone.

Brilliant experience where you drive your own submarine open to the water but without a mask. A must do. Martinique is the only other place in the world where you can experience something similar. Also the tour includes some impressive surprises

Remi & Manu were great guides. We saw a lot of fish and an impressive underwater world and had a lot of fun. The two of them took great photos and videos of us, which we bought afterwards. A unique way to experience the lagoon (also suitable for spectacle wearers as the head does not get wet ;-) ). We highly recommend this tour.

Bora Ocean Adventures is the essential activity not to be missed when staying in Bora Bora. Unique services and highly competent professional service.Being delighted with the services we then opted for the underwater scooter ride, what a magical moment! We could both walk underwater with our heads dry, it was an exceptional experience to be able to communicate with my son, among the fish flying the original craft. We were guided by a diver who taught us multiple behaviors of species living in the lagoon. I highly recommend this company which took care of us from our Pension, attentive to our needs with very careful service. Thank you very much for your availability, kindness and professionalism.

We loved this experience. Thank you to Remi and his sidekick for taking good care of us. It's amazing to go down to the seabed while having your head above water. That's wonderful.

This was the best excursion on our trip to Borq Bora! It was amazing to see the fish up close but in the comfort of the air pocket in the underwater scooter. I thought I might be claustrophobic, but it felt roomy and was no problem. Our guides were fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. Be sure to buy the photos and videos they take of you underwater for the extra fee (I think $90 XPF?) they are worth every penny.

The scooters were an excellent way to see the lagoon fish for a non-diver. Our guide Remi took us round, showed us a starfish and a sea cucumber, plus gave us a laugh along the way. We even managed to see a turtle from a distance.
