Top French Polynesia Boat Rentals

My husband and I are visiting Bora Bora for our honeymoon, and while everything has been incredible, our private 6 hour tour with SAM (the most incredible captain AND chef) tops the list. Not only did we swim with Manta Rays in multiple locations (three at one time at our first stop!!), but we also swam through the coral gardens, glided alongside Eagle Rays, and walked amongst black tipped reef sharks and stingrays. Sam even introduced us to the most friendly Moray Eel (a new favorite animal, even though they look spooky). After the water adventures and beautiful tour, Sam made us the most DELICIOUS meal on a private island. My husband and I keep saying it's been the best meal of our trip, and we've been to quite a few authentic and fine dining restaurants while here.THANK YOU, SAM! You made our day out so special. We will never forget this experience, and it's all thanks to you. If I could write 10 more paragraphs about how amazing you are, I would! To anyone wondering if they should book this excursion, the resounding answer is YES (and see if Sam is available - you won't regret it)!

We are so happy we booked this! It was one of the highlights of our entire French Polynesia trip and our favorite experience in Bora Bora. Our only regret is booking a half day instead of a full day! The staff was wonderful from start to finish, from the woman who picked us up at the dock to the check-in team and the gentleman who explained how to operate the boat. Their commitment to safety really stood out. They gave us clear instructions, a phone so we could stay in touch, and a small GPS tracker so they could locate us if we needed help. All of that made us feel safe and confident heading out on our own. This was only my second time operating a boat like this, and it was much easier than I expected! The boat was lovely, larger than we anticipated, and easy to drive. The canopy also provided welcome shade from the Bora Bora sun. Having the freedom to explore the lagoon at our own pace, with Mount Otemanu as the backdrop, was incredible. We snorkeled in crystal clear blue water, enjoyed a picnic on a beach with no one else around, and I flew my drone for some amazing shots while my wife looked for seashells. The marine life was unforgettable! We snorkeled with manta rays, eagle rays, stingrays, a blacktip reef sharks, and so many colorful fish. Being able to take our time and enjoy it all together made the experience even more special. For us, this was so much better than joining a crowded boat tour. Between the beautiful surroundings, the freedom to explore, and the fantastic staff who made us feel comfortable and well prepared, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll be raving about this for years. Rent a boat, be your own tour guide, and give yourself the full day, you’ll wish you had more time!

Book early and book a full day rental to cruise around the lagoon

Sam ***** our Captain was very professional. Great welcome, he knew the splendors of the lagoon perfectly. He had an eye for getting us to dive with manta rays, sharks, reef fish, all while telling us the history of Bora Bora. Not to mention the magical moment of the meal on a motu prepared in front of us by Vairea This day thanks to him will remain forever in our memories.EULALIA and GILLES

Captain T was amazing. Snorkeled the reef, and swam with sharks. He also cracked open coconuts for us. Super funny, cool guy. 10/10 recommend!

Beautiful day and fun exploring the waters and beaches of Bora Bora. Great morning out on the water!

We rented a small boat but we were notified the day before that our boat was having a mechanical problem so they upgraded us to a pontoon and I am so glad they did! I have a big husband (6’5”) and those boats are tiny! We had a great time cruising the lagoon in the pontoon!

Superb experience! We loved our boat tour with Heimana; he was fantastic. He showed us wonderful places, and it was a pleasure to sail with him. I highly recommend this tour if you want to discover the lagoon; it is perfect!

Nice boat. We really enjoyed having a private boat experience to tool around bora bora on our own. My husband stayed out of the sun but I loved riding on the front of the boat as it zipped around to various spots. Our driver Marahama was fun and professional. We had a very nice morning!

We had an amazing private boat tour with Captain Marama! The snorkeling spots were stunning, and the whole day felt relaxed and perfectly planned. The highlight was stopping at a private island for a fresh, delicious lunch such a special experience. Marama was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He made us feel completely at ease, shared great insights about the area, and clearly takes pride in creating a memorable experience. Everything ran smoothly thanks to his attention to detail. If you come to bora bora, this is a must! Especially with Marama as your captain! Highly recommend!
