Details of your Autonomous Kayaking Tour in Taha'a: Destination Coral Garden
Starting point:
Your adventure begins at our rental base conveniently located on the Taha'a Lagoon. Easily accessible, it is the perfect launch point for your exploration. After a full safety briefing and some sailing tips for your kayak, you will be ready to sail!
Paddle to the Coral Garden (approx. 45 minutes):
Take a seat on your single-seater kayak and start your quiet paddling through the translucent waters of the Taha'a Lagoon. The journey to the famous Coral Garden takes about 45 minutes at a moderate pace. Along the way, let yourself be amazed by the beauty of the scenery: the lush shores of Vanilla Island, the mesmerizing color of the lagoon that turns from turquoise blue to emerald green, and the soothing sensation of gliding over crystal clear water. It is the perfect opportunity to observe shallow marine life or even some seabirds, all in an atmosphere of pure freedom.
Exploring the Coral Garden: Your Natural Aquarium!
Once you arrive at the Coral Garden, you can easily moor your kayak in the designated areas. It's time to dive into one of Polynesia's most spectacular snorkeling venues! Put on your mask and snorkel (optional) and let yourself be gently carried by the weak natural current. You’ll instantly be immersed in an underwater world full of life: multicolored coral gardens, thousands of brightly colored tropical fish, giant benigns and incredible marine biodiversity. Get ready for unforgettable underwater photos!
Attention: The Coral Garden is a marine protected area. Fishing and the removal of corals or shells are strictly prohibited. Thank you for respecting this natural treasure.
Return to Base:
After taking full advantage of the Coral Garden and the surrounding area, you will only need to paddle again about 45 minutes to return to our starting base. This return trip is just as pleasant, offering you one last opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of the Taha'a lagoon and the feeling of a successful adventure.
Flexibility and Fishing in the Lagoon:
During your rental time, you have the freedom to explore the vast expanses of the lagoon. If you are passionate about fishing, our kayaks equipped with rod supports allow you to engage in sport fishing in the authorized areas of the lagoon, outside the Coral Garden and swimming areas.
