Top Costa Maya Stand Up Paddleboarding

highly recommended, the guide and captain provided pleasant attention during the tour. we had little free time and they adapted to our schedule, they did everything possible to show us the fish, turtles and manta rays, they also have a beach club, you can do kayak and paddle activities, the beach in this area is very clean. they provide a complete experience.

I spent an incredible day at Pronoia Casa de Playa and it exceeded all my expectations. If you are looking for an escape from the chaos and stress, this is the perfect place in the Mexican Caribbean. An extra point for their great honesty: before my arrival they kindly warned me that there was a bit of sargassum on the beach. This level of transparency is rare and highly appreciated. Despite this, the staff did a fantastic job keeping the place welcoming and comfortable. The boutique atmosphere is intimate and relaxed, surrounded by wonderful nature between jungle and sea. I was able to rest, enjoy a delicious lunch, and drink very cold beers in front of a splendid view. The journey to get there is absolutely worth it to find this level of peace. I will definitely go back!

Phenomenal day in Costa Maya. Nemo and Angel treated us very familiarly, very approachable and pleasant people. 100% recommendable to deal with them, the activity was very complete and they were always looking out for us.

Hayhu was exactly the kind of beach day I was looking for. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Instead of loud music and crowded party vibes, we found comfortable loungers, the sound of the waves, and a place where you could truly slow down and enjoy the day.The service was exceptional. The staff anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and genuinely wanted to make sure we were comfortable. Everyone was warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. The handcrafted cocktails, made with fresh ingredients, were some of the best we’ve had, and the food was absolutely delicious. You could tell they put thought and care into everything they served.I also appreciated the natural beauty of the area. There was some sargassum during our visit, but that’s part of a living ecosystem and something that naturally changes depending on the wind, currents, and weather. I watched people swimming, kayaking, and enjoying the sea all day. By the time we were getting ready to leave, the water had already started looking much more like what most people expect. Nature is constantly changing, and that’s part of what makes this coastline so beautiful. What I loved most about Hayhu is that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It embraces its natural surroundings and creates a peaceful place to unwind. If you’re looking for loud music and a party atmosphere, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you appreciate authentic hospitality, handcrafted food and drinks, beautiful natural surroundings, and a place where you can truly relax, you’ll understand why we loved it.One thing that really caught my eye was their boutique hotel. They currently have two rooms designed for couples, and they looked incredibly romantic. I found myself saying, “We have to come back and stay here.” I can only imagine waking up to that peaceful view and spending a few days completely unplugged. We’ll absolutely be back. Hayhu is a hidden gem that reminds you to slow down, appreciate nature, and simply enjoy the moment.

It’s all about relaxation, feeling the breeze and looking at the ocean. This is not a beach excursion per set, it’s more about relaxing. Take a book, get yourself a massage, sleep in the hammock and feel like you are royalty . We absolutely loved it. Serene and just omg the kindness of the staff!!!!

Despite a wave of sargassum coming ashore, my sister & I had a lovely visit to Mahai! Our host and her staff went beyond to ensure we had a wonderful visit. Delicious food, a beautiful pool & a relaxing Yoga class made for a perfect getaway from the busy hustle of the Costa Maya port area. Highly recommend a day or extended stay here! We definitely plan a return in the fall to enjoy the kayaking and explore the offshore reef.

Overall experience was excellent. The staff was very attention and made sure all of our needs were met. We were traveling with children and the staff went out of their way to find beach toys for them to play with. Definitely worth the 30 minute taxi from the port!

Had the most incredible time at Mahai retreat. You can feel and see the amount of love, care and effort that was put into this place- brick by brick! 1. The staff are something else, they are so attentive and will truly make you feel so accommodated. 2. The nature of the retreat being self sustaining is something I had not yet come across. 3. The rooms were so beautifully put together and all had their own feel to them. 4. The food was truly something else- the chef always cultivated different incredible meals. 5. The property had a sweet cat that made me feel just at home. I wanted to take him home! I have a million more things I could say truly

I spent some time at Casa Pronoia and I still miss this place. It’s just paradise in the jungle. The colors and sounds of the palms, ocean, birds, and iguanas just chilling in the sun make you feel really relaxed. Perfect place to chill in a hammock on the beach, swim, or go snorkeling. You can even learn how to open a coconut or relax on the rooftop and watch the stars. Great margaritas, nice food, and like-minded people around. The owner Chino puts a lot of energy and care into this place. I highly recommend Casa Pronoia ❤️

The place is simply top notch, far removed from the noise and people, it is very exclusive and the tranquility is very good, the staff is too friendly, they strive to make your VIP experience, drinks and exceptional menu, very private beach and very cute, we touched sargasso but it is part of nature, the facilities really very comfortable, each group in their own lounge with comfortable lounge chairs, table chairs of everything!!! I would return a thousand times without hesitation!!!! You can get a complete massage too good!!! Toño is very attentive and Carlos the manager very concerned !!! Book with your eyes closed

Visiting this place was the highlight of our Cruise! The host was wonderful and provided an awesome tour and lunch. This private place is truly amazing and words cannot describe how much we love it! Can’t wait to book again and stay the week.

Had a fabulous time. Couldn’t have asked for nicer people to spend the day relaxing with. Plan to visit again 😎

It was a wonderful experience with very kind and attentive staff. We even managed to see two turtles, one up close! Beautiful and exciting

Excellent service. Private trip. Great guide. Good value for money. Saw turtle and stingray. Got free use of kayaks and paddle boards. Free sun beds and a free drink. Also got free photos and videos all for $45 per person.

Stayed here with close friends and had a wonderful time. The area was very secluded and the atmosphere was amazing. Spectacular food and wonderful staff throughout the trip. Would go again in a heartbeat any day!

My friends and I booked a day pass at Mahai Retreat during our stop in Costa Maya, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Everything was seamless, transportation to and from the port was arranged for us, and we were welcomed with a delicious breakfast (in such a beautiful space) to begin our day.We spent the day relaxing by the pool, paddle boarding, getting massages, and making our best attempts at the cold plunge, which was super fun… truly couldn’t think of a better way to spend the day. The whole experience felt relaxing, thoughtful, and so much more intentional than any other excursion we’ve done in the past. The lunch was also incredible, and the staff made us feel right at home in this beautiful little corner of the world. We were seriously so sad it was just for a day! If you’re stopping in Costa Maya and looking for a relaxing, memorable day, I’d highly recommend Mahai.
