Costa Maya 2026 Calendar of Events

We had a great experience seeing the Mayan Ruins. Our guide, Eliseo, was awesome. He was very knowledgeable. We also saw monkeys swinging in the trees.

This was a great adventure to the ruins via Tucan Tours. Carlos was a fabulous tour guide and Daniel the bus driver did a great job getting us around safely. We had a pretty large group, but Carlos did a good job of keeping us all rounded up and on task throughout the day. I was traveling with my 77 year young mom and Carlos made sure we knew how to get to the top via the easier set of stairs, which we both appreciated. We got lots of information about the Mayan people and how they lived. The beach was nice as well. The one big thing to remember when using Cool Destinations is to know the name of the local tour company so you can find them when you get off the boat if you are on a cruise. It is a bit overwhelming getting through the port area and having all the tour groups asking you if you need a tour. This was our first tour with Cool Destinations and didn't know we needed to look for a different name. Once that was shared with us by a local, we could more easily find our group. I printed the information and read it to the local guy and he pointed us where we needed to go as the red golf carts were not out when we got to the designated area. The Tucan Tours people were and then we were off and running. I would recommend taking a rain slicker, bug spray, a hat, water, small denomination bills for tips and treats, and a bag to carry anything you buy. Again, we had a wonderful time with Carlos and highly recommend this tour.

A decent experience and worth the money. This is not going to be the same spa experience as what you would receive on the cruise ship but this is Costa Maya…so set your expectations. You also won’t get the high pressure sales of the cruise spa staff, so that’s a bonus.My wife and i had very nice massages. Seemed many others were as well the day we were there. We would do it again for sure.

We brought our 4 year old and 9 year old and we had a blast and guide was very helpful with our 4 year old and it was amazing 👏 if you got young ones this place is Def for you ❤️

Located across the street from The Crazy Lobster restaurant, and about a 10 minute drive away from the cruise port, my husband and I were taken upstairs to an open-air room where our massage tables were set up. We could see the water from the 2nd floor location. The open curtains were blowing in the breeze, and the breeze kept us cool during our massages. For $35 each (plus a tip of $10 each), the massages were fantastic. We would most definitely stop here again for another massage. 5 stars.

The class was great. Everything was really fresh. Recommend the chocolate and tea paring. They were very attentive and gave a good demonstration. 5 stars totally recommend. 🫶🏼

I am not confident in the water and they made me feel at ease. They are also very knowledgeable about the ocean wildlife and the coral reefs. I will be a repeat customer when we are in Mexico.

Long drive, but worth the trip, incredible place, and staff. My spouse fell in love with the area. Highly recommend

This was much more than an experience to taste chocolate; it was a true journey of discovery around cacao and Mayan culture.We learned to use the metate and, with the paste we made, we created our own artisanal truffles. My favorite part was trying Mexican sweets with a delicious fondue. Don't miss trying it with the dates and the chili-covered mango!We finished the experience with a tea and chocolate pairing, and I was very surprised by how well they combine.Overall, it was a super pleasant, delicious experience full of energy. There is no doubt that chocolate releases serotonin.The Tierra Mojada team was super kind and full of experience, and even though it is something new that they created, they do it wonderfully.It is 100% worth it. Do not hesitate.

Came here while sailing on Harmony of the seas, and I cannot recommend this place enough! Great food, strong drinks, amazing staff… We got there late and even with the few hours we had left it was such a great time!

Best way to end a cruise. The lagoon water was so clear, calm and warm. The guide and the driver were amazing and gave excellent information about the area. Our guide was an expert on all things land. The meal provided was the literal chiefs kiss! The fruit treat in the middle of the lagoon was so heart warming. They played music on the boat giving it a super fun feel. There’s plenty of time and area to swim and even the ability to swim in one of the Cenotes!It’s really cool seeing and swimming in all the different colors of the lagoon.So many photo worthy opportunities or just opportunities to embrace. The lagoon water itself was a very nice and refreshing change from the ocean water, giving us the ability to start coming down from our trip.Do not be afraid of the time!! If you are afraid of the time posted here, make sure to call and let them know when you arrive and what time, they will accommodate.I almost didn’t book because of the time I saw, giving my cruise arrived an hour later.When I called they assured me all would be well and it was!We were in communication from the moment I booked. You have complete communication with them through WhatsApp all the way up to your experience. No one is left behind!!

From the cruise ship deck to the driver drop off back to cruise ship was perfectly timed! we enjoyed the safe and fun excursion including the personal driver, the roads are tiny and narrow and our driver was amazing! Our Tour guide/boat captain was so knowledgeable about the history and the cenotes and gave us great time on boat with fresh fruits including dragonfruits! we enjoyed the swimming in the blue lagoons with crystal clear waters and white sands!

The beach is nice and quiet. The drinks are good and strong. We didn't get to eat because it started raining and we left. The only issue is the people selling souvenirs. It is a nonstop parade. You can't relax for them asking if you want something.

Very smooth experience people were friendly and I would definitely do this again I had plenty of time riding around, returned the bike at at 1 PM

This excursion was beyond AMAZING!!! Bacalar is truly breathtaking (the pictures don't do it justice). We are so lucky that we got to experience it in real life. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, professional and she made the day extremely fun. Everything was super organized (meeting point, excursion, lunch, return to the cruise port). We loved the fresh pineapples that were delivered to us by our captain and our tour guide while we were swimming in Bacalar. We also loved the traditional Mexican lunch we had on the way back to the cruise port. Bacalar is a bit of a drive from the cruise port but definitely worth it. We have nothing but amazing things to say about this tour. If you get the chance, book it!
