⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful Lagoon and Such a Fun Experience!

Bacalar Lagoon 7 Colors Excursion from Costa Maya Cruise Port

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful Lagoon and Such a Fun Experience!
We had such a fun day on the Bacalar Lagoon 7 Colors excursion! Our guide picked us up near the cruise port, and after about an hour drive, we arrived at the lagoon and boarded a boat. The water in Bacalar was absolutely beautiful. We visited three different cenotes by boat, and it was really interesting to see how each one had its own unique characteristics. We also stopped in shallow areas where we could get out of the boat, swim, and just hang out in the gorgeous water. One of my favorite parts was something our guide did for us on the way there. We stopped in Pineapple Town, where he bought us a fresh honey pineapple. Later, while we were swimming, our boat driver cut it up and served it to us right there in the water! It was one of the most delicious pineapples I've ever had. I'm definitely going to be looking for honey pineapples when we get home! After the boat ride, we had lunch beside another cenote. Lunch included three tacos each. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the chicken, and they were both delicious.Between the beautiful lagoon, the cenotes, swimming, fresh pineapple in the water, and delicious lunch, this was such a fun and memorable experience. We really enjoyed our day and would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Costa Maya! 🌴🍍💦

Stunning Water and NO CROWDS

Stunning Water and NO CROWDS
Absolutely loved this trip! The only downside was how long it takes to travel to and from the lagoon. It took about 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive to the marina and another hour to travel back. Once you add it up, that eats into your total excursion time quite a bit. We loved our guide, Jhoana, she was very knowledgeable & friendly. We ended up being only 4 of 6 people on this excursion. So if you are looking for a less crowded adventure, then this is for you! The water was even more stunning than the pictures do it justice, and the food was the best we had the entire trip!

Amazing!!
Jhoana Z was an AMAZING tour guide. Not only did she have a ton of information about the surrounding area, but she was able to help out with our engagement without me (the future bride) having even the slightest clue as to what was going on until it was already happening. Our entire experience was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide and overall experience at Bacalar Lagoon. Book with Jhoana!!!

THE BEST EXCURSION IN COSTA MAYA!!!
This trip was one for the ages! Truly one of the most fun trips that my family and I have ever taken. Eco Experience Costa Maya did not disappoint and ensured that our group of 34 were well taken care of. Jhoana and her team are true professionals with so much knowledge about Bacalar and the region, they were so informative, as well as fun. I highly recommend this guide and this excursion, you will not be disappointed. Also, they will ensure that you get back to the port on time for your cruise departure. They are very organized and professional when it comes to getting back to the ship. THANK YOU Eco Experience, we hope to do another excursion with you soon!-Nate Obregon

From the cruise ship deck...
From the cruise ship deck to the driver drop off back to cruise ship was perfectly timed! we enjoyed the safe and fun excursion including the personal driver, the roads are tiny and narrow and our driver was amazing! Our Tour guide/boat captain was so knowledgeable about the history and the cenotes and gave us great time on boat with fresh fruits including dragonfruits! we enjoyed the swimming in the blue lagoons with crystal clear waters and white sands!

CHACCHOBEN Ruins and BACALAR Lagoon Boat Excursion from Costa Maya

Tons of fun with a professional, transparent, and well organized team!
Everything was well arranged and the communication couldn't have been better. We were on Star of the Seas and unfortunately our debarkation was too early to both see the Chacchoben Ruins and do the Bacalar Lagoon Boat tour. We didn't realized this but the excursion group had the foresight to check and let us know the day before that they felt they only had time to do the Bacalar Lagoon Boat tour and confidently get us back in time. They graciously made the offer that we could cancel the excursion altogether and get a full refund or do just the boat tour and get a partial refund; we opted for the latter. Even with just half the anticipated experience, it was still a great time on the water with a delicious lunch at the end. We even stopped on the way and got fresh pineapple! The team was very professional, transparent, and well organized which made everything worry free and tons of fun. I know my daughters had fun and we'd gladly do an excursion with this group again!

Excellent tour for our family of 10.
Beautiful experience. Jhoana was our guide and she was excellent. She took care of little details and dove into the history of Costa Maya, Bacalar and Chetumal. Meeting was just outside the port. Transportation was in an air conditioned van and our chat made it go quick. Lago Bacalar is beautiful. The clear, clean and fresh water was beautiful. And to top it off we had a great lunch. Highly recommended.

Bacalar All Inclusive Jet Ski Adventure from Costa Maya

Best jet ski excursion in Bacalar Lagoon, Highly Recommend!!
Highly recommended booking this experience! We had an incredible time in Costa Maya at the Bacalar Lagoon thanks to booking this excursion. We received great communication prior to date of our booking as well as the day of. We had a driver and guide waiting for us as soon as we exited the cruise port. Their directions made it easy to find them. We went on an hour car ride to the lagoon where our guide Jhonana gave us the history of Costa Maya and lots of interesting information. When we arrived to the lagoon Jhonana got us set up on the jet skis and took us on an adventure of a life time. Our teenage boys had a blast flying through the crystal clear blue waters as did we. Jhoana took us to a spot with a white sandy bottom and teal blue waters where we jumped off the jet skis and swam around while she prepared us a delicious snack and refreshing drinks that we enjoyed while floating around in the lagoon. We had 2 hours on the jet ski going at whatever pace we wanted enjoying a great portion of the lagoon. We were treated to yummy tacos when we arrived back at the restaurant on shore and then were taken back to our cruise port. The entire staff was professional, friendly, and everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had the adventure of a lifetime. Our expectations were far exceeded and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future.

Lagoon of 7 colors from Costa Maya – Boat Tour and transportation
Sarah W, Jun 2026
Excellent communication
Our family booked this when our cruise ship was scheduled to port at Costa Maya. Unfortunately the sea was very rough that day and we were unable to dock. Communication with Wild Wave Bacalar was excellent. Upon finding out that our cruise ship was unable to dock, they immediately refunded our money. We hope to go back and take the excursion one day! Please rest assured that this is a reputable company that communicates well with you.
