A great experience, the lake is beautiful and so peaceful, then it’s down the rapids of the river, which is exhilarating!Our guide, Gavin was excellent and very knowledgeable.

The River Boat Excursion was an exceptional opportunity to meet not only nature as raw and beautiful as it is, but our guide, Rob. He showed us the equally raw virtue in human nature. As good as it gets.

My wife/I chose this excursion through Royal Caribbean Cruises. My wife, 65, was a little anxious when the tour said rapids.After listening to the instructions from our raft guide, Caden, she was much more at ease.Caden was very experienced as a guide as well as professional, communicative, and funny. This trip is a must if you want to experience the wonders of Mendenhall Glacier and the ecosystem that surrounds it.All of the guides were exceptional, but, if you can get Caden, you've got someone special.

We had a wonderful sunny river rafting trip on the Chilkat River and saw many eagles. Captain Rich was skillful getting us safely down the river and was very knowledgeable about all the wildlife and plant species we were seeing. Thank you to Andy for driving and setting up a welcoming riverside snack.

Thanks to Fallon and Tavel, the two very experienced guides, me and my mom had a best day ever! It is so cool to have 3 hours on the glacier and do whatever you want. The guides know the best spot to explore. The tour itself is pricey but it definitely worth it!

We had an amazing experience our guides, Sarah, Phillip and Caden were amazing. This is a first rate operation. The lodge is super nice. The rest of the staff was informative and accommodating. Definitely one of the top five experiences of my life.

Chugach Adventures saved our day! We were on the train, about 3/4 of the way, when the train lurched, slammed on the brakes and came to a stop. Turned out the track had washed away and derailed the 1st engine on the train ): The train personnel tried to tell us they could not do anything, that we couldn't leave the train (literally could see the highway not 20 yards from us), that they would be backing the train up with the one engine left back to Anchorage and it would take 3 hours. Everyone was upset - one of the other passengers called Chugach Adventures, explained what had happened and asked if they could work something out with the railroad. About a 1/2 hour later, they had it worked out. The train backed up to a spot where Chugach Adventures could pick us up in a sprinter van and off we went.. They really went above and beyond for us. Although our trip to the Conservation Center was quick we did still see it, had a nice lunch and was still able to do a raft trip although not the glacier one since the train was needed for that. We were all just so happy we were not stuck on a train! So grateful they were accommodating and helpful. They even drove everyone back to their hotels afterward in Anchorage! Special shoutout to Olivia who was our guide/tour leader and had so much enthusiasm and good cheer!

This tour is the perfect "goldilocks" of multiple adventures! The train ride is perfect - I think I'd get bored during a full day on the train. Amazing views, and informative commentary. After disembarking the train, the guided experience at the wildlife center was one of my favorite things we did (especially because we didn't see ANY other 4 legged wildlife in 565 miles driving to Seward and Talkeetna). The rafting experience was SO cool, getting to go up close to the glacier and icebergs. The sack lunch was seriously so good! I remember seeing that in another review and it is true! Last but certainly not least, our guide, Caroline, was fantastic! She got our whole group talking and joking and interacting, which made the whole experience way more fun. 10/10 Caroline! She did a great job, and clearly communicated safety info before rafting.

Amazing guides, great experience, perfect for people who want to do something different than everyone else, if you wanna get off the tourist trail a little and NOT have a burn and churn experience like most other rafting outfitters. The trip is perfect for a couple of small families with adventrous kids, 2 families of 4 and a couple other family friends and you will be essentially booking a private trip with some of the most experienced guides ive met. These guides really know about the area on a level most other guides do not. Great value for the price!

This experience was phenomenal. Our driver and rower did such a wonderful job. We love supporting a local family company and they did not disappoint! Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful time experiencing the Mendenhall glacier from a raft. This is not the kind of activity I would usually do and it was so exciting to be on this rafting trip and experience the great weather and beautiful scenery. Jackson, our tour guide, was so warm and confident. He had the best sense of humor and kept the whole group entertained throughout our outing. This rafting trip was the highlight of my trip to Alaska so far. We saw eagles and a seal and the scenery was breathtaking-taking. Thank you Jackson for a splendid day on the river.

Easily one of the most epic and fun experiences I’ve ever had. We spent the day paddle boarding, hiking across glaciers, climbing around, and exploring places that honestly didn’t feel real. It was the kind of adventure where you’re constantly stopping to take in what’s around you, then immediately getting excited about what’s next.Simon and Taval were awesome guides and really made the day. They were incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, but also so friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to be around. They made us feel comfortable while still letting us have the full adventure, and you could tell they really cared about making the experience as good as possible.I genuinely don’t know how we’re going to top this one. If you’re in Alaska, do this.

The trip was fantastic, I think you under sell it, particularly in the rafting section. That was the absolute highlight and frankly the bigger part of the tour. That needs more hype around it . The guides the entire experience whilst on the raft was one of the best things we have done in anchorage

From check-in to touch down the entire adventure was A+! Our pilots Aaron & Ryan were great! Our guides, Ton & Kaiden were fabulous!! They made sure we had a blast exploring, paddling & hiking all while being safety minded. If this is on your radar, JUST DO IT! The views on the glacier are out of this world with sparkling pools, glacier rivers & thundering waterfalls. Highly recommend!
