Iceland Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

The zip lines were easy to access and ride even for those with limited abilities. The guides were super. Being able to share the experience the activity with the whole family was very special.

Haddi was amazing! He was funny, knowledgeable and energetic. He took us to great restaurants and shared wonderful facts!

As a solo traveler, I did the Reykjavik Guided Food Walking Tour and it was fantastic! Our guide Bonnie was amazing so knowledgeable about not just the food, but the history and culture of Iceland behind each dish. She made everything interesting and fun, and I learned so much more than I expected.The food stops were excellent and it was a perfect way to get to know downtown Reykjavik. I felt totally comfortable going solo and met great people on the tour. And make sure you try the fermented shark it wasn't bad at all!Highly recommend this tour and especially Bonnie!

The volcano video experience was phenomenal!! It was fascinating to see what the internal workings of a volcano…even though it was AI!! Too bad I did not have time to see it twice!

Black Sand horseback riding was a beautiful experience. There were first time riders in our group as well as experienced riders. It is not an all out “do what you want” ride but rather a group experience. The horses are well cared for and very sweet. You do have an opportunity to experience the Icelandic sokk. Their personalities were unique and the tour guides were very knowledgeable and helpful.

I really enjoyed my visit to Perlan Museum. The exhibits were interesting and gave me a better appreciation of Iceland’s nature and landscapes. The views from the observation deck were beautiful, too. I’m glad I made time to visit!

This was a nice relaxing stop in our day! Everything was very nice from check in to the. I’ve locker rooms and lagoon.

Relaxing horse ride along a gorgeous beach. The horses are gentle and well cared for. The staff was super friendly. Great experience.

Warning!!! Taking this tour might cause you to fall in love with Iceland. If you are in Iceland I recommend you take this tour. One of the biggest highlights of our tour was our guide gud. I learned so much about Iceland from him. The trip took about 6 hours but with gud it went by sooooooo fast.

A wonderful tour — easy, comfortable, and full of amazing sights. What really made it special, though, was our guide, Gudjon Jes. He was excellent: friendly, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and a true storyteller. His authentic stories, local fairytales, and playful teasing kept us entertained throughout and made the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommended!

We did this in September of 2026. Our Troll guide Erin was awesome. The tour is a bus ride to the glacier with about 12 people, then a bit of a hike, then you get to the glacier itself. Gear up with cleats, helmet and ice axe and up you go. Quite an experience. Would highly recommend it.

What an amazing experience and awesome time on the glacier with our guide!!!! We had individual snow mobiles and we had a fantastic time we wanted it to be longer! We would love to go back another time! The weather was great and the vehicles nice and well maintained! Thanks again

We visited Volcano Express as a group of seven and had such a great time! It was a really fun and impressive experience, and we were all surprised by how immersive it felt.The combination of the moving seats, heat, wind and incredible footage really makes you feel like you are right there experiencing the power of Icelandic nature. Even as Icelanders, we found it exciting and really well done.A fun experience for both locals and visitors to Iceland, and definitely something we would recommend!

Becyase this depends on nature, this is a bit of a pot luck option, but they know what they are doing and have spotters checking the horizon. In the end we say a pair of hump back whales. The trip out into the bay was also really good.
