Sintra Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

A truly perfect tour!!! The half day was ideal for us, we were happily exhausted and fulfilled by the end of our time with Robinson - who was amazing!!! He had such fun and passionate energy and knew so much about everything we saw. Visiting without him would have been SIGNIFICANTLY less informative. He kept everything really accessible but left us all with a deep impression of thoughtfulness. Loved that he knew things to point out about the botanical aspects as well. The day felt totally full with just these two stops. And our incredible guide made it all extremely memorable. Highly recommend!

Joined the Half Day Tour with Pedro while staying at the coast in Colares. Everything was perfect! It was an easy uber ride to the meeting location and from there Pedro shared his wealth of knowledge of both Quinta da Regaleira and Peña Palace. We had so much fun! While there was a few uphill climbs, Pedro timed the resting times perfectly providing insight along the way. The half day morning trip gave plenty of time to see the sights and left time after to eat lunch and wander the streets of Sintra at our own pace. I highly recommend this tour with Pedro.

We did 10 days in Portugal and this was the best day by far. Sooooo much fun, Andreas was the best guide we’ve ever met, so much knowledge and really wanted us to have the best time. Genuinely the best guy! The whole trip was really special from the palace to the laughs we had with the other couple, the incredible food at local restaurant to off roading through the hills. We didn’t want it to end! Thanks so much!!!

It was fabulous! Host communicated the entire time and made the journey easy! If you get a skip the line, just ask the people working there where to go. We loved not having to stand in the long lline to go into the palace.

Booking our Pena Palace and Park tickets through Dream Fly Tourism LLC was a great choice. The whole experience was easy and well arranged, with no confusion during the process. We loved exploring the beautiful palace, colorful architecture, and surrounding park. Everything went smoothly and made our visit truly memorable!

The visit is very evocative and an absolute must-do. In terms of "experience," I don't have much to say, since I simply purchased tickets for admission. It is bizarre that from the purchase, made weeks before the trip, the delivery of the tickets was only carried out the day before the scheduled visit, although this circumstance was foreseen and reported (not clearly enough) by Booking, the portal through which I booked. Therefore, pay maximum attention if you book with Booking: the Booking receipt will not allow you to access the Palace, but the actual tickets will be delivered via email the day before. In the email to which the tickets are attached, there is a detailed explanation from the operator regarding the times required to access the Palace, which must be strictly respected for logistical reasons. In these respects, the assistant was precise.

Wellington was so friendly and patient—and he happily answered all of our son’s questions. (Our son is a very curious 10-year-old). He also extended our tour time to make sure we saw every palace on the itinerary.

Worth a visit just for the gorgeous park and walk up to the palace. Absolutely stunning.

This was one of the top highlights of our 11-day trip to Portugal. Our driver was excellent. He was filling in for someone who had a broken foot and normally worked maintaining all their wonderful jeeps. We always felt safe while having some fun too. Each stop was excellent. From the gardens to the incredible lunch in a chief's personal home, I could not recommend a better way to spend your day. You get a great sense of the Portuguese culture and the wonderful people there.

Great information about Sintra sites, history, plants, trees and environmental diversity. Our guide was clearly passionate about.Sintra.

Fredrico was absolute the best. We wanted a different experience and he showed us the part of Sintra through his eyes and compassions. This is truly the best way to see Sintra and all the surrounding areas. He had great compsssion for his country and it rubbed off to us. Thank you for an amazing day!
